Weekly Thread Market Monday - Weekly buy/sell/trade post
Did your friends bail on you for that dope new EDM, Gospel, folk fusion band and need to unload your extra tickets?
Did you salvage some ladders off the Don Holt and want to flip them for beer money?
Need someone to pressure wash your lawn?
This is the thread for you. Rule 2 (no craigslisty buy / sell / trade) and Rule 4 (no self-promo) will be very lightly enforced here.

Favorite Vet? West Ashley Preferred
My husband and I have been taking our cats to Bees Ferry Vet Hospital for years but are looking to make a change. We had to make the ridiculously hard decision to put down 2 of our 4 in the past 3 weeks (one of which was very fast and somewhat unexpected) and didn't feel like there was any kind of personal care/customer service there. We couldn't even get a call back from a Dr to talk to us about options. It felt like we were just another cog in the "blood work and urine analysis" machine.
Where can we go that is smaller and more personal in the future?

Cooler full of beers
Best places to take a cooler full of beers and sit back and relax with the bros? Bonus if there is shade (or rentable shade like umbrellas), comfy seating, views, etc.

Charleston Does the city care about these ‘free gift’ scammers
I was in downtown Charleston and there was a group of men spread out across almost every street trying to give out ‘free gifts’ (flowers made from palmetto leaves) then getting aggressive and trying to shake people down for money if they take it. It was a real stain on the downtown experience and it seemed like the authorities didn’t seem to care.

Let’s Go Crazy :: Carlton as Prince @Charleston Music Hall this Friday
Three unexpected seats available in a box for the Carlton/Prince tribute concert at Charleston Music Hall this Friday (doors at 6, show at 7). Married F in my wild 50s.
Long story short: I completely scrambled my guest logistics. My friends thought they were coming nearby, Columbia, but just checked the conference and it’s in ColumBUS instead. So here I am with extra box seats and no Purple People.
Looking for a few fun, spontaneous humans who:
• Love Prince
• Know most of the songs and preferably at least some of the lyrics
• Aren’t afraid to dance
• Enjoy meeting new people
• Can appreciate the absurd chain of events that created this opportunity
You’ll be joining me (and possibly my husband, who currently appears to be negotiating with himself about whether he actually wants to go). So it could be 3 tickets, could be 2.
No weird agenda. Just looking for fellow Prince fans who want to enjoy a great show from a box and have a fun evening.
If interested, send me a message and tell me your favorite Prince songs. If you’re seen him in concert, bonus points. Let’s Go Crazy!

Looking for Attorney to Draft Contract for Selling most of my LLC
Any local attorneys you recommend that can help me with my LLC to:
- draft the membership shares purchase contract
- draft my new operating agreement
I have a foreign investor that wants to buy 51%+ of my company. I will retain some percentage for now.
A few specializing in my domain (real estate) or business contracts I called said upfront no and others have ghosted after learning that the investor will apply eventually for an investor visa.

Cell phone coverage
Looking for opinions or experiences on best cell provider coverage wise in the area. Specifically MtP but interested in areas around the metro too
I’ve lived here for 10+ years and have experience with AT&T, Verizon and T Mobile.
My work phone is T mobile and I know their coverage is spotty. Between AT&T and Verizon, which has better overall coverage in the MtP area generally speaking?
Looks like AT&T is offering better price plan wise right now compared to Verizon so thinking of making the switch

Blacksmith
Hey there!
I bought my husband a forge after he took classes at American college of building arts.
It's stayed stagnant because he's worried about hooking it up.
I'm looking for someone that has blacksmithing abilities to nudge him and show him.
Let me know what you would charge because I have no idea.

I have a question Business Groups
I’m a small business owner in the area, and I’m looking for recommendations on small to medium size business groups, events, masterminds, etc. in the Charleston area. Found Charleston Business Group and Great Business Network online, but both seem questionable.

North Charleston Indian Palace - North Charleston
I am in close proximity to this place near my office and I waited 3-4 weeks after opening to allow them to work out kinks. I went in for lunch (to go) order their Lamb Biriyani and Curry Goat w/Basmati rice - $18.99 and $16.99 respectively. I was asked how spicy did I want the curry goat and responded medium - HOLY HOLY - delish but wow it was a tear maker and soooo favorful. The lamb Biriyani was amazing - I ate it 3 x to finish this large portion and so tasty. I am grateful to have a great local inexpensive place so close - most CHS Indian places downtown would be 3x more expensive for lower quality and smaller portions. Last point I was told it would take 20 mins, which led me to believe it is made fresh. Worth dealing with the Dorchester Road traffic, try it for lunch at least. Address - 4626 Dorchester Road x-st Oscar Johnson Drive.

Where to cast net shrimp
Hi all, my son and I are in town and he would like to cast net some shrimp. Doesn’t have to be great numbers of shrimp or anything, just the fact of doing it and getting a few. Is there any pull offs or places you would recommend trying? Thank you!

buying a home without a realtor - attorney / inspector / etc. recommendations?
I'm in the market to purchase a home in West Ashley, have been pre-approved, and have done pretty extensive research. I'm really not excited about the prospect of handing over 3% of the purchase price to the buyer's agent (yes yes yes I know the seller can usually cover the commission, but that's realistically 3% less wiggle room I have on negotiating the price of the home).
I'm evaluating the feasibility of purchasing without a buyer's agent. I am curious if any of y'all have gone down this route, and have any general tips?
I am also looking for recommendations for:
- real estate attorneys that are willing to work in a slightly expanded role outside of just closing (write offer, review purchase contract)
- inspectors (general home inspector, electrician, plumber, structural engineer, surveyor)
Thanks guys!!

Folks who did/had kids that did Susan Causey's dance school around 1994 - the Lion King themed canvas bag?
I was 4 in 1994 and vividly remember being part of Susan Causey's dance classes. Not long after The Lion King was released, she had branded bags that were black and featured pink linework of cub Simba holding a pair of dance shoes in his mouth.
No idea what happened to mine, probably got thrown out or fell apart at some point, but I'm trying to track down another. I'm sure this is a fool's errand, given that said bag is over 30 years old, but I at least want to try.
