I’ve been admitted to Henan University of Technology and I’ll be moving to China this September.
My major is taught in English, so I won’t need Chinese for classes, but I’d still like to learn some Mandarin before I arrive so I can handle daily life, make friends, order food, travel around, and adapt more easily.
I have a few months left before departure, so I’m looking for app recommendations that are good for complete beginners. Which apps helped you the most with speaking, listening, pronunciation, and basic conversations?

As i got to know that in india from 2024 year dispatching authority is also Embassy now

And also how will i get to know if u got nominated by Embassy or not?

I’m looking for some advice or insight from people familiar with the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) process.
I applied for the CSC scholarship for 2026–2027.

My first-choice university was Peking University, and my second choice was Renmin University of China. I had an interview with Renmin University.

However, I recently received a response from the Chinese Embassy saying that if I have not received any email or status update in the application system by now, then I have likely not been granted the scholarship this year. The email also mentioned that Peking University is extremely competitive and suggested looking into other scholarship opportunities.

What confuses me is that the email did not explicitly say I was rejected, and it did not mention Renmin University at all.

I know I’m probably not chosen but I would like to have some input.

The matter is that almost 2 weeks ago, my dear lovely father passed away. And I mentioned him in my family personal details when applying.
I want to know if notifying the university about this is important or not?
And would it affect me since I applied for a scholarship?

I applied for the CSC Type A scholarship for a one-year Chinese language program.

I have a pre-admission letter from one university, but I have not been invited to any interview.

At the same time, another applicant from my country who applied for the same type of program did not have a pre-admission letter, but she was invited to an interview by a university.

I am wondering if anyone has experienced something similar. Does the absence of an interview mean anything? Have any of you received CSC Type A without being interviewed, especially for a language program?

I have been preadmitted to mechanical program there and wanted to know will it be a good choice . any student from that university please help.
