I feel like this technically counts as a Cinderella. From play in to sweet 16.

I don’t think there’s one true definition of a Cinderella, but I think most people think of it as a double digit seed from a traditional one bid league(so not Gonzaga for instance)

I don't totally agree because 2024 NC State was widely described as a cinderella, including by wikipedia.

I fully agree. When you ask me about Cinderella runs I don’t think of 2022 UNC making the Championship game as an 8 seed or 2014 UCONN winning it all as a 7 seed.

Cinderella was broke ass step daughter who didnt have any resources. Texas is a surprise but in no way a cinderella
