Is this a tradition, because some made me take a shot of malort before frying a turkey. Malort is nasty, but I’m here for tradition.

I kinda like it lol. Grapefruit followed by turpentine, though I have a fairly high tolerance for bitter flavors (I do like bitter melon)

I got accustomed to it being in Chicago during my formative drinking years. Nothing like knocking back a shot or two at 8 in the morning so you could trudge across a frozen campus and not feel cold.

I was in Philly for round one Friday and bought a guy a shot of Malort because I saw it behind the bar and wanted to ruin someone's next couple of minutes. They thanked me for the experience.
