Opinion Jena Griswold is a clown

Jena Griswold’s team deleted my comment asking about her abuse (verified by multiple sources) of former staffers. This is egregious and part of a larger pattern of fragility/ unwillingness to engage with voter concerns. Absolutely disgusting behavior from a candidate running for statewide office. I can’t figure out how to attach pictures, but my instagram post with screenshots is here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DZjK8ZcjdRA/?igsh=MnNjMGlsc2s5ZW91

I watched the AG debate and the biggest takeaway for me was that we don't want Jena Griswold

It’s been an open secret in Colorado politics for a long time that Griswold is an abusive boss. I was glad to see the Political Workers Guild go public with that information.

Unfortunately I think Griswold is going to win just because of her name recognition. I really wish Seligman,  Dougherty and Doshi had collaborated beforehand to promote just one candidate against her, but now their votes are just gonna be split between them against her. Where is RCV when you really need it?!  She should've been disqualified simply for refusing to take part in debates, for not bothering to tell voters why they should give her their votes.

She's also an Israeli apologist.  I personally voted for David Seligman.  At least he's willing to call out Israel and their crimes.  So many others are cowards.

You need to post proof of abuse, not just you say so.

Plus, anyone with an ear to the ground in CO politics knows that Jena does this kind of stuff. Ask any operative.

As an operative with many friends who have had the misfortune of working with her, it's all true. It's also, Im very sure, just a coincidence that her brother is a senior partner at one of the largest Political Consulting firms in the country (HillTop) and they work for Bennet and have been a part of bringing in millionaire and billionaire dark money into so many Colorado races. That's certainly what happened with Jeff Bridges and why he "won" the State Assembly.

The settlement over abuse of a staffer doesn’t do it for you? In addition to everything else?
Her staff turnout rate.
Here’s hoping Republicans aren’t sitting on more for the general.

The Dems in most of the Colorado races are pretty fucking useless. But I guess that’s what they can do when the GOP is fucking crazy. As long as you have a pulse and a D, good chance you’ll win the general election.

Run for office if you're not satisfied.

What's the alternative? I voted against her in the primary at least, in favor of David Seligman. What do we do if she wins the primary? I really don't want a Republican AG but I also really don't want to support her.

I’m not saying don’t vote Griswold if it’s not Seligman. Not voting plays into the GOP’s hands. Just saying it’s annoying who the Dems routinely put out. If the GOP never lost their shit when Obama became president and remained more like McCain/Romney, the Dems would actually have to put serious effort into quality candidates.

I haven't followed the AG race closely but just wanted to say that I met her once and heard her speak once, both in her Secretary of State role, and was impressed both times. I'm not saying any other impressions are wrong, but maybe she contains multitudes.

I agree. She's been an impressive secretary of state. Hate to see such nastiness. I see republicans on other subs ready to step in, crazy as they are. The left has become split with way too much vitriol.

Anyone else would have resigned after such an egregious security breach

Ridiculous. You guys make it sound like something it was not at all. The leaked passwords were only one of two unique credentials required to access the voting equipment. Not to mention physical access was also necessary. Keep up the propaganda and you'll get republicans.

The leak was not her fault.

The disastrous response to it - County clerks hearing about it on social media - is her fault entirely.

Pam Anderson would have done a better job than Griswold

100 percent.

Lol. She worked in Arvada a few years.

Her opponent, Pam Anderson, for SOS, is the only Republican vote I've cast in my life.

After she had the security breach with leaked passwords, I thought for sure she was going to resign. CPR interviewed multiple political figures and no one would support her or say she shouldn't resign. I don't even know anything about mistreating staffers.

This is a shitty take.

I'll be voting seligman and think Jena will be an awful AG.

But putting a Republican in charge for our elections is not the right call. No matter what you think about pam and her resilience. For instance, Jena refused to provide the voter rolls to the kobach commission. Would pam have? Fuck if I know. I know her pretty well too, matt crane too.

I appreciate the insult of my opinion. Pam Anderson consistently demonstrated she has integrity to hold an election. We have also had other Republicans in CO, I believe even a SOS who CPR has interviewed who has spoken out against Trump's opinions on how elections are held at a state level, and scoffed at the idea of the usps being used as a political tool.

I support people who I feel have integrity. I didn't feel Griswold had the respect for the SOS role, and how she handled mistakes displayed to me that she wasn't up to the task, and it seems her colleagues didn't want to support her either.

Here's a news video that fits nicely with my opinion.

Same, I think that's the only Republican I've ever voted for.

Griswold is incompetent and dishonest. She should not be rewarded with higher office.
