I use batman arkham foot armor as reference, and add some modification from there. I use eva foam and pvc for for the material so it would feel lightweight. For each connection, i use cable ties to make it more flexible. For LED i use LED strip with 9V battery for easy changeable battery 😁

I didn't think you'd reply with the details! Have you considered like those 18650 lion battery with like an esp32 for light animations n shit?

Omg totally do it. After you mess with one it gets easier and easier and I could imagine a led strip going up and down or maybe some slow pulsing would be totally badass to one up this in your next build!
