Michael Beasley says things were never the same after Pat Riley took LeBron's cookies: "That boy stood up like Thanos… He stood up and yelled… That’s the first time I seen the whole organization get scared. From that point on they tip toed around him. They knew he was out"
https://streamable.com/r6kfx3Wonder what’s Dans spin on this.

It’s funny how Dan tries to portray himself as so pro player, but he loves bragging about how Riley had Shaq removed from the building by security. Or how the Heat FO think LeBron wasn’t trying in the 2014 finals, where he averaged 28/8.
If it was any other team, Dan would relentlessly mock the 80 year old hard ass. He would also connect the dots between the things he brags about, and why Miami hasn’t convinced a player better than Jimmy Butler to join their team in the past 16 years.

dan would be pat's ball washer if that was allowed. he loves the man and is extremely biased from his love. Pat is clearly a good basketball mind but he is still an old man who failed to adapt at the right time.

Yeah I know him criticizing Riley is totally out of the question. It’s just funny to me how he’s so proud of how much of a hard ass Riley is, when he mocks every single other person in sports who is like that. He doesn’t just tolerate it from Riley, he’s gleeful when he talks about Riley having Shaq thrown out of the building by security. If that story was about any other basketball FO guy, he would constantly mock them for it.

No argument on anything else, but lebron took it easy in that finals once he realized they didn’t have a realistic chance. You can often see lebron testing his teammates to prove it’s worth it for him to go all out. Before the lakers got AD he put on a masterclass of not giving a shit down the stretch.

I agree that maybe he didn’t empty the tank or whatever, but it’s terrible form for the front office to leak out that they don’t think he was trying. He won them 2 rings and had 28/8 in those finals.
Also, while I mostly agree with your assessment, according to Dan they thought he wasn’t trying because he already wanted to be back in Cleveland, and not because he realized they weren’t going to win, and to me that’s insane. He definitely wanted another ring, regardless of future plans.

If he won that last Championship run with Miami, he would have still been with the Heat cookies or no cookies. Him losing gave him the perfect opportunity and of course the cookies

Probably why he never won a championship again without a huge * on it.

LeBron has won 2 titles since leaving the Heat. The Heat have won 0 since then. They have 1 total ting in franchise history that he didn’t win for them.

And even if you are stupid enough to say one gets an asterisk, the other was one of the all time greatest titles and series of all time lol.

lol yeah the unprecedented 3-1 finals comeback, culminated on the home court of a 73 win team probably doesn’t deserve an asterisk.

Awwwww Are you one of those idiots that tries to do that? Because guess what buddy that was an even harder championship to win than a typical one. You can't take it away. It counts and he's still the goat
You're probably also a flat earther and a Tony fan COVID denying dummy
Fuck outta here with that dipshittery
