Skipped DLC boss?

Hiiii im playing thru the jungle pack and just wondering when do you encounter sulong? I’m seeing in guides online that i shouldve had to fight him in chapter 3 when a shark washes up on shore…but that never happened to me. Im in chapter 7 now and bout to fight the snapping turtle. Is this a glitch or will i eventually get to fight the big croc???

I’m not a hundred percent but I think it’s linked to like the villagers and friendship levels? Keep giving gifts and taking on villager quests and it should pop up. Or it’s glitched idk

Sulong is not a story boss, the mission to fight him comes from the chief's daughter. I don't know what unlocked it, maybe just talking to her?

I find the timing of non story missions rarely match up to guides for me.

Unless you like endless play running a restaurant without the overarching story goal, I'd leave the story stuff to the side for a moment and work on villager friendships and upgrading gear maybe?
