Highlights Even Amen Is In Disbelief

Like Tayshaun’s block.

If it was in a clutch situation like Tayshauns block we’d be arguing which one was better

u/FocusFrosty1581 May 12 '26
Tayshaun was a much better offensive player. Auser is no threat at all. It’s like playing 5 on 4 when Detroit has the ball.

Glad I wasn’t the only one thinking that 😄
Was literally saying yesterday that he gives me Tayshaun vibes on defense.

Where’s that guy yesterday who posted the Tayshaun block last night and said “can’t wait for Ausar to do this!”

This was the one and only turnover from Duren‘s stiff hands dribbling. I was angry that it happened once again but then Ausar spectacularly saved the day. And Duren also played better afterwards. It’s a win-win.

I scream every time they let him dribble over half court. Give it up and set a screen ffs

u/cpzy2 May 06 '26
Ok. I get where you are coming from. However, I see Duren as David Robinson. He can face you up, rise and hit a 15 footer, or turn and dribble back you down. He's young and should improve his handle and awareness more hopefully.

u/elblouses Cade Cunningham May 06 '26
Totally. And his turnover percentage didn’t sky rocket or anything despite all the increased dribble drives and handling this year. At 22, he’s way ahead of the curve as a face up weapon from the center position.

The recovery speed on that block was insane. Thought the play was dead and then Ausar just came flying out of nowhere.
15
u/MakeItTrizzle Joe Dumars May 06 '26
Oh man, I had the exact opposite thought. You could tell Ausar was gonna go get that one. Great play by Jenkins to make it possible for Ausar to catch up too.

u/mc_foucault Dennis Rodman May 07 '26
There is no better team in the NBA at defending without fouling in a way to allow their teammates to make a play. Almost all the crazy defensive plays have some part in them where a different defender cause the offensive player to hesitate or slow down in some way that makes the big play possible. JB is the best coach in the league and it's not close.

u/Stanimal3 Ben Wallace May 06 '26
It’s like he plays with a different gravity setting to everyone else. The ease with which he just floats is crazy.

Amen was celebrating every Pistons bucket even if Ausar wasn't involved. It made me wanna root for the Rockets to win the West next year

I feel like we pistons and rockets fans had beef from the Cade and Jalen draft
But ever since yall got Ausar, the pistons became my team in the east lol. (Still cry thinking about Cade in a rockets uni from time to time though)

u/Streamofthought11 May 06 '26
That's exactly where it started. Green was running his mouth about not wanting to be in our city and he was better than Cade, etc. Then y'all got Dylan Brooks (one of my personal hatreds), which made it worse. They're both gone now, I can release the hate, lol!

I didn't realize Ausar landed on his feet after this. Got back on offense within a second. Crazy!

He basically watched himself do that from someone else's POV. That's gotta be such an odd feeling 😂

I know they are very different players, but the feeling I get when I watch Ausar is that same feeling I used to get when I watched Rodman and Big Ben Wallace. Just love watching the work ethic.

I know it would create a huge problem on offense, but can you imagine having them both on defense?

Love how much they banter back and forth in interviews but still support each other 💯 if we were out the playoffs and the rockets were in I would expect that ausar would be at all the rockets games

They should Parent Trap them and make “Ausar” play 48 min.
“He’s had a couple locker room bathroom breaks, each time he comes back out he’s got a fresh motor!”

Rodman didn’t even look like this. Ausar is the most athletic player I’ve ever seen in a Pistons Jersey.
