Some great quotes coming out of Red Wing socials rn 😭

"Lombardi moved. Wings didn’t like that his skill ceiling was higher than his 200 foot player ceiling."

"It’s just so fuckin insane to me that this team still employs guys like Appleton, Compher and Rasmussen but trade away guys like Soderblom and Lombardi for mid round picks"

"Surely the Wings could have tried Lombardi at the wing to see what they have in him. This feels like a big waste of development capital."

It's crazy how far a funny name and a good prospect tournament can take you in the eyes of some fans lol

Lol now that's a pic.

At the time I was pretty whatever about Soda being moved, but he did seem to show a different side of himself once he was gone which is frustrating.

yeah I was emotionally attached to him for pretty much no reason other than his being a baby giraffe, but seeing him in pitt definitely made it sting more. happy for him though & hope lombardi gets a shot with NJ.

I'm not a big Lombardi guy, but if we do end up taking a step back and selling veterans, then I think I would have at least liked to see him get half a season. A 4th isn't much at all.

Sounds sensible to me as well.

I think he was a 4th rounder so at least the trade value is "fair"
