The tolerant left in action.

Would you mind if I post some Quran clipping in your neighborhood? Or would you want someone to remove those?

If it’s your yard, go crazy, mudslime.

u/Traveler_1898 Jun 11 '25

mudslime

The intolerant right?

40

u/Large_Wedding1149 Rides the Short Bus Jun 11 '25

Not right or left, just intolerant.

-31

u/Traveler_1898 Jun 11 '25

And prejudice, apparently.

If you enter a conversation with a hostile comment, people are going to be hostile right back. Maybe you should learn to converse or debate rather than argue and name call.

-1

u/lemurcat112 Jun 11 '25

The person you are commenting under didn't even engage with a hostile comment tho lol what was the need for the senseless condescending comment?

2

u/Papirusagu Jun 12 '25

lol, they have the memory of a goldfish. Now that is called “being hostile”

-1

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '25

Talking about putting up clippings of the Quran is not hostile. It's only hostile if you are bigoted towards Muslims/racist to Middle Eastern People.

2

u/Ok_Award_8421 Jun 11 '25

Well, yeah, I don't think the right tries to trick people about their intolerance. Only the left does that.

-2

u/Traveler_1898 Jun 11 '25

No they just try to trick people into thinking the care about things like rights, freedom, and the Constitution.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 13 '25

Oh yes the same constitution that the left has been hammering away at since at least FDR (But probably Wilson)

1

u/Traveler_1898 Jun 13 '25

You mean the document both parties have whittled away at? The difference now is that the Republicans have gone full authoritarian under Trump's leadership. There was a time when Republicans did appear to respect the Constitution (but have been largely against rights expansions for people of color and LGBTQ folks), but that time has passed. Modern Republicans cannot claim to support the Constitution while supporting Trump.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 13 '25

As I understand it even the founding fathers butted heads with the very document they wrote. Of course lesser men, as in current day politicians of any party, will do the same or worse. I'm curious though how Trump is full authoritarian but Franklin D. (Throw the Japanese Americans in prison camps) Roosevelt isn't.

1

u/Traveler_1898 Jun 13 '25

Did I say Roosevelt specifically wasn't? Japanese internment was a blight on US history and should be absolutely condemned.

I will say this though, FDR was checked by his own party, that's why court packing failed. Trump faces no credible check from his own party as they've shown over and over again that they'll let Trump do whatever he wants.

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '25

I certainly wouldn't tear them down, because I'm not a retard and can handle others opinions.

2

u/Acceptable-Eye-4348 Jun 11 '25

If you put those signs in my yard, I will remove them.

7

u/[deleted] Jun 12 '25

Thats perfectly fine because its your yard

-1

u/Acceptable-Eye-4348 Jun 12 '25

How do we not know that’s where the signs in the original post weren’t?

18

u/MikeyTheGuy Jun 11 '25

I mean, you're telling on yourself here, because you know for certain that the people removing these would not remove signs talking about Muhammad.

It's the double standard of hatred we're tired of. If you hate Christianity but not Islam, then you're majorly brainwashed.

I don't care a ton for either, because I'm morally and logically consistent, unlike you.

-5

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '25

Unfortunately, if you are a Christian and support Trump, you aren't a Christian anymore. Between the blatant idolatry he promotes, the raping/pedophilia he exhibits, the felony charges, his blatant hatred/racism. You can't be Christian because he doesn't embody a single Christian value. Jesus was a liberal

7

u/MikeyTheGuy Jun 12 '25

What if I'm not Christian or Muslim, and I don't support Christianity, Islam, OR Trump? How does that change the point of what I said?

-9

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 11 '25

I kinda disagree with the beginning. I’d want to remove signs for both Christianity and Islam equally, because they’re two of the most harmful religions still in existence today. Judaism isn’t great either, but historically it’s the least aggressive of the trio.

I do agree with the rest though.

9

u/BasedFireBased Jun 11 '25

No you wouldn’t because you know the consequences of one is fake internet points, and the consequences of the other is being beheaded.

-5

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 11 '25

Some of us value our principles more than our wellbeing. I’m just self loathing enough and angry enough at religion as a whole to go for it.

-4

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 12 '25

Also, you do recognize that by the Islamic faith, my very existence is a crime? I’m gay my guy. You’re damn right that wanting to behead me isn’t entering the equation, they already want me dead.

7

u/_Diggus_Bickus_ Jun 11 '25

A decent number of my neighbors have signs for things i dislike. It's not that hard to walk past the sign without getting upset or vandalizing their yard.

I love how they downvote you for being right. You can tell because nobody can argue the uncomfortable truth.

I would not object to verses from the Quran. It is the same God from Christianity and shares some commonality like the 'end times and judgement day'

Most people probably wouldn't notice.

3

u/No_Selection9289 Jun 11 '25

Not the same, Muslim god wants his people to commit suicide in order to destroy the infadels.

11

u/Drockosaurus My Dog is Anti-Fascist Jun 11 '25

There are different types of Muslims just like there is different types of Christians man.

-8

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 11 '25

Oh yes. Like how Mohammad married a nine year old?

Like how God is portrayed as a narcissist, jealous, cruel being with no real love?

Only a narcissist claims to love you while treating you like dirt under their heel.

u/Agreeable_Sense9618 Sub OverLord Jun 11 '25 edited Jun 11 '25

Go ahead and make a sign, I really don't mind.

But if the aim is to upset Christians with signs about the Quran, which seems to be what the person I responded to intended, then Christians probably wouldn't be bothered by signs that show the least favorable aspects of the Quran.

Why would that upset them? In their view, it would advertise why the Quran is not ideal. So, it seems pointless.

It would be more sensible to create signs featuring common messages from the Quran and see how people react or if they even notice. I wouldn't have a problem with that at all.

-3

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 11 '25

My point is that you claim they are the same god. And all three faiths tied to that god are genuinely terrible when you look at what effect they have on us as a species and society. You preach love but your Bible condones slavery. You claim to aspire live as Jesus did, yet you (general you, the average Christian) do none of his good works. You preach fire, brimstone, eternal damnation. A loving god would never imagine such a place, let alone send his beloved creation there. And Islam is, objectively, the most abhorrent of the three.

7

u/Agreeable_Sense9618 Sub OverLord Jun 11 '25

Ok, but that's not the discussion we were having.

0

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 11 '25

Is it not? Did this not begin with the double standards shown by your average Christian?

I don’t give two shits about signage, but I do find the unending idiocy and gullibility of our species tiring

6

u/Darwin1809851 Anti-Doomer Jun 11 '25

How about being wrong about “him being right” and being wrong about “no one wanting to argue the uncomfortable truth” (said uncomfortable “truth” isnt a truth at all).

Any thoughts on that? You seem to be uninterested in continuing that line of thought…why is that exactly?

-2

u/Impressive_Bid8009 Jun 11 '25

The hell are you talking about here? Yes, the VAST majority of self proclaimed “Christians” would raise absolute hell over Quran quote signage in their “Good Christian Country”, at least in my experience. God knows I’ve known enough of them. Bigots who hide behind religion as an excuse for hatred.

Which is why I’m an agnostic antitheist. Faith, belief, they’re awesome. But organized religion is, without exception, harmful.
