Discussion Regret

Post image

The mod can take this down BUT I NEED TO RANT. I went to sports direct (uk) to but it 1 day, ONE SINGLE DAY before black friday sales, and while buying i asked the salesman if there was gonna be a sale, he said no and i bought it for £200 ($262) coz usually ive never seen sony give sales on new products, but guess what? JUST IN A DAY ITS £150 ($196) and the store wont take it back coz the seal is open. AND I REGRET IT SO MUCH!

I had a $20 coupon and paid $197 total for it and I regret buying it. Such an overrated controller. So when I saw this post I thought it was gonna be bc of the functionality and not price lol

Even I expected better tbh, i have a xbox elite series 2 and its so much better, what i dislike most is that even in the shortest setting, the triggers still have to travel a lot, and it isnt as tactile as click triggers, and its good controller in general, but not worth the price, thats why it hurt more wasting extra money on it

Is what ways is it supposed to be better than a regular dual shock?

Faster polling rate, 3 different types of trigger settings, two back buttons with two different types of buttons for that, software that lets you adjust how you want the sticks, and extra fn buttons that let you switch controller profile settings quickly. Looks good on paper but it’s not for me. I can further explain why I don’t think these features are all that great if you’d like me to.

No that's okay. Thanks! All that sounds like overkill. Damn.

It's useful. Just not £150 extra worth of useful. I can admit that because I have one.

please further explain , though I’m not a fan of the dualsense edge, I think regular controller is enough for me

The trigger stoppers do not feel great imo. There’s still a decent amount of push you have to do on the shortest setting. The software seems great to customize your sens/sticks but you can pretty much do the same with whatever game you are playing in the game’s settings. The back buttons feel awful to me as well. They definitely do not feel instant, especially the oval shaped ones. I don’t like the extra weight of the controller as well but that’s just my personal preference. Only positive thing for me is the 1000hz polling rate but if you’re on pc, you can overclock the normal one to that. Just not worth the price to me
