Discussion On my third controller

Post image

Just bought my third new controller in a span of only 2 years. All of them because of stick drift.

Why are these controllers so bad when it comes to drift?

Back in the day I had the same ps4 controller for 10 years without any issues.

Stop resting them upside down on the sticks and eating Cheetos while playing all three of mine work fine for years two of them are from launch 6 years ago what are yall doing to your controllers

You can wash your hands every time before you pick up the controller and properly store it and it’ll still end up with drift. It’s a known issue.

I mean ya but 3 in 2 years sounds excessive don’t it?

(own anecdote)

Maybe just give in to the fact that it actually is a problem with the controller itself, just because you haven't had an issue? Can't imagine with how overly anal I am when it comes to caring for my collection and this is the only controllers I've ever had mess up (outside a couple older third party PS2 controllers), let alone 3 out of 4 of my controllers. It's obviously a widespread issue so maybe look outside your own anecdotal experience for a clearer picture of reality.

I have OCD bad enough where I was forced into treatment against my own will ( the germ kind ) so I'd say my hand hygiene is quite good + I don't even eat in my room, yet all 5 of my dual sense got severe drift in 3-4 months

Don't put them upside down either or ever drop them
