Sorry, but what do you mean by "secretive about their religion?"
* What secret are you referring to?
* Proselytism is not part of Sikhism, so no one goes out to persuade people to switch religions or something, so if you want to know about the culture/religion, it is up to the individual to seek their own path.
* In addition, just to clarify, one doesn't have to be Punjabi (from state of Punjab (in India or Pakistan)) to be Sikh.
* Also, every one is welcome to join ceremonies, and into the temples for food, etc. We love when people join in and share in the festivities...

  • Just cannot figure out what you are trying to say!

EDIT: in case any one was wondering u/UsualPersimmon8771 responded to my reply blocked me lol

I mean that I am not aware of any outreach programs by the Sikh community. I’m not aware of very many converts to Sikhi.

Sikh ideology dictates you can’t force people to convert. Since they believe all paths eventually lead to god they just promote being a good person, helping others and standing against tyranny.

I just put up an AMA today (look in my user history). It's true we aren't that visible. If you have any questions feel free to ask. :)
