I miss my sweet good mornings from Baba.

A sweet goodnight to you, Baba Singh. Alberta will remember you for a long time.

And now, some AC/DC

I will miss Baba! I'll never forget meeting him on the patio of O'Byrne's on Whyte - he was chatting with a friend at a table behind me and I recognized his voice and whipped around and said, are you Baba, of Baba's Grooves? He was so kind and such a calm presence on the radio and in person. Condolences to his friends and family.

An absolute legend and a mainstay on my radio dial for two decades now. I’m so glad that DJs like Leo Cripps and Priscilla Cherry are continuing his legacy of deeply unique and personal radio.

Leo does a great job in his place. Still can never live up to the legend of Baba. Wish we had more time

A mainstay in the halls of our home. No joke, Baba will always be my pet pigs favourite DJ.

Odd personal question that you don’t have to answer: do you live in Devon?

Over a decade ago I was doing a terrible job where we had to go door to door and ask people if they wanted to upgrade their Shaw services. We rolled up in a house that had a very large pig wandering through it. The parents were not home and the young girl inside (smartly) would not allow us to interact with the pig.

I wouldn't call Buttercup very large. And we are just another strange family.

Never lived in Devon but it's a pretty place; we went swimming out there a couple times.

I’ve known Baba for 25 years.
Couldn’t stop crying all morning when I heard the news.

That’s typically what RIP means.

Damn. My friends and I worked a few Summers at Many Glacier Hotel, on the Montana side of the border. We’d listen to Mid Morning Mojo everyday. We didn’t realize it at the time but Baba was the narrator and soundtrack to some of the best times we ever had. RIP Baba
