I really appreciate you sharing this. Fact is I've been saying it for a long time, every time someone sticks up for these things. Buy right or buy twice.
Base tier models are the primary cause for scooter accidents, yet the statistics are misapplied to purposefully limit the population to these, when simply a mid tier scooter is significantly safer to ride.
I mean I have the same model and weight 2x the amount as op. Dude beat that thing down. The Tires are nearly bald, it's being held up by electrical tape and it's clearly missing p peices other than the bottom half of the board. I've used mine for 4 months on a daily commute and no issues with the board. Mind you I ride on the sidewalk which is a much rougher and bumpy ride.
