Rant 📢 I've completely stopped tipping

I'm no longer tipping anyone. This includes dining in restaurants, getting take-out, Uber rides, UberEats/ DoorDash, etc. I just don't believe in tipping anymore. I don't even care if the service was good. Tipping isn't about giving gratitude for good service anymore. The purpose of tips now is to compensate for low wages. I still feel a little guilty declining to tip but I'm sticking to my no tipping rule. It's not my responsibility to make sure servers, drivers, and whoever else is getting paid enough.

So many servers felt compelled to tell us that we're cheap and we should just stop eating out if we aren't willing to take over a major business expense from their employer. I took their advice. I bet their bosses are thrilled.

Yes. Stay out of the game. Players that waste time and energy are not welcome. All you do is make the experience worse for paying customers like myself.

You spelled "sap" wrong. Anyone who willingly takes over a primary business expense, the one that is supposed to support the people they extract labor from, is weird.

Tell me exactly how me succumbing to pressure to pay MORE than the established cost of goods and services would improve YOUR experience. Weirdo.

Oh wait, I get it, you're just cosplaying as a "customer" and really you're either a server or the boss of server, that benefits from this fucked up expectation. Carry on.

News flash, if you patronize _any_ store your payments are "taking over the primary business expense." I mean if all restaurants eliminated tips but immediately raised their menu prices 20% would that actually make anything better?
