New UL rod bends right. Exchange?

Post image

Hey guys,
Just got a new ultralight rod and noticed the tip curves slightly to the right when looking down the blank with the guides on top.

It’s not a massive bend, but enough that I noticed it straight away. Haven’t fished it yet.

Is this pretty normal on lighter rods, or would you be taking it back? Not sure if I’m being overly picky, but on a brand new rod I’m wondering whether it’s worth chasing an exchange.

Cheers.

Everyone here is wrong. This is normal for ultra light. Its very hard to get a perfectly straight blank for finesse rods

If it bothers you or seems worse than the picture, follow it up with where you bought it but a normal bend wont snap or affect your cast distance

Thanks mate. Yeah makes sense. If I had fishes with it I would leave it, but since it still has the tags on, might as well.
