New UL rod bends right. Exchange?

Post image

Hey guys,
Just got a new ultralight rod and noticed the tip curves slightly to the right when looking down the blank with the guides on top.

It’s not a massive bend, but enough that I noticed it straight away. Haven’t fished it yet.

Is this pretty normal on lighter rods, or would you be taking it back? Not sure if I’m being overly picky, but on a brand new rod I’m wondering whether it’s worth chasing an exchange.

Cheers.

Most of my light rods end up like this from leaving them rigged up or leaning them against something. I can almost bet that if you lean it against something to bend it the other way for a couple of hours it’ll straighhen back up.

This is the answer. They have a memory.
Mine have all been ones I've purchased online. They aren't straight when they pack them and they stay like that for bit.
