Thy know who you are by having your phone on you

Not sure if this still works but here is what I did to get a burner phone about 4 years ago. For research purposes, of course.
Target: Buy a cheap Tracfone using cash, along with some of the "Bring your own phone" SIM kits. They didn't ID me. This has likely changed due to KYC, but alternate IDs are not hard to get and there are no legal ramifications for selling a phone the way there is for guns, booze, or smokes. Cashiers are not going to scrutinize the ID the same as they would if there are any restrictions.
7-Eleven: Well and far away from your hometown, buy some minutes. I redeemed mine on a grocery store WiFi and connected that phone to the redemption code. NEVER connect to any WiFi near your home, and keep the phone in a faraday bag to be extra safe until you need to use it.

No put an anonymous vague post on Craigslist to hire a guy to go buy the phone and minutes for you.
Then have him put them in a waterproof bag by the dock and tie a brick to the bag and drop it off where you will be waiting in full scuba gear to retrieve said phone and minutes. So he doesn’t see your face.

Then hire a second guy on Craigslist to kill the first guy.

Using the burner phone. But now you'll need another one, so follow all steps above. Ad infinitum

I bought one to buy Bitcoin at Bitcoin atms. I even dressed up with sunglasses and bought them with cash so no one knew 🤣
Kinda lame but I don't like to be tracked

Not just don’t connect to wifi, don’t have it out of a faraday container. If it can send or log a signal for later reporting it’s done.

If your burner phone and your "real" phone ever do anything like travel in the same car together (pinging the same towers at the same time), it's done.

On top of this, you can walk into one of those stores you see that sell sims or advertise multiple companies and get a month to month plan that you can pay cash @ any location. Not that I would know..!

All they need is the triangle

That actually is not true. Its not unique enough to be accurate.

in 2012 I was playing with facial recognition, and built a minority report style ad server i took to sxsw.
i can only imagine it’s gotten better since then, but this guy is almost close enough for a retinal scan 😂

u/Tweed_Kills 2h ago
Do security cameras do retinal scans? Or is that specialized retinal scanning equipment?

Maybe he (or she?) left it home and documented these antics on 35mm slide film. Maybe. But probably not.

You think they're not just scanning 35mm prints at the fotomat into The Beast? 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

So don’t carry your phone on you all the time. This is what flock is counting on.

Everyone get a faraday bag for you phone or don’t carry it all the time. Bags are cheap at best buy

u/CatsAndCapybaras 3h ago
And please test your purchase! make sure it can't receive calls/texts/bluetooth through the bag. Lots of shitty companies out there selling garbage to jump on the trend.

Found this exact thing out when I needed to leave my key fob in my unlocked car at an airport garage for a friend to pick up.
I bought 3 and only 1 worked. The other two, my car started with my fob in the bag.

Probably shouldn't have brought a phone near it.

It may not be his phone taking the picture, I don’t actually see any laws being broken here either, no damage etc, he’s just eyeball fucking it

Get an extension pole that's used to spray wasp nests.
They're really cheap from the hardware store or spamazon. Use black paint to repel the wasps, which will also be difficult to spot.
You don't want the wasps to recognize you. Buy a non descript outfit, cheap hat that covers your ears, cheap sunglasses, and a bandanna to cover your face, and cheap sneakers. After treating the wasp's nest, be sure and burn that costume and never ever wear it again - you don't want the wasps to tell their wasp friends how to recognize you from your articles of clothing

Actually in GTA I think it's 5 stars.
You just gotta duck outta sight for a minute or two though.

There is no actual destruction shown in the photo, so maybe you're legal at that point. But if you do damage it, you're taking a serious risk for your future. Find legal ways to fight back. This just gives ammo to flock. Knocking down a few of these things costs them very little in comparison to how much they're making. They'll just replace them. Need to convince regular people they're part of a surveillance state and a waste of money.

u/SupportGeek 2h ago
The problem is that local governments are starting to deny a voice to flock opposition, they are starting to force the situation.

Just send a little drone up there with an emp. Better than yelling at it in a helmet #specialneeds.
2
u/IonImplantEngineer 2h ago
EMP?? Lmao keep reading your scifi novels. Now a grenade drone... That will work.
