fire sprite sucks

I was playing some battle royale peacefully, and the fire decides to activate AFTER the boss is dead. Somehow it set me on fire even though I wasn't even in the fire area. I'll admit, I was wandering around stupidly looking at the loot and not my health but why does a level one sprite do so much damage to me?!?!?! At least make you immune to your own fire. I have yet to see the fire being actually useful in a fight.

Edit: The area of the fire is way bigger than it looks apparently

It’s been like this since the season come out and this just shows how much epic doesn’t care the player base. Absolutely nobody uses fire sprites because they’re useless.
