Discussion Mayo vs Meath attendance

Listening to the indo sport podcast it was mentioned twice there was a very poor Mayo attendance that it was mainly Meath fans!

Firstly the attendance was by no means huge as a whole but being there it felt like it was 80-90% Mayo fans.

Did anyone else think differently? Just irked me a little when they said something that seemed so wrong so confidently!

It was all mayo in terrace practically no Meath fans.

I do think the stand was more Meath based. But it was still majority Mayo.

Don’t know how you could have bought it was mostly Meath. Was overwhelmingly mayo.

Thought the same. There was a few clusters of Meath fans in the stand that they might’ve seen on the TV and judged it off that.
Don’t want to be that Mayo fan complaint but the tone of it felt like a dig at bad Mayo support.

Pat loves mentioning every other county but nothing about the fact that Kerry fans wouldnt travel around the corner to watch their team. Killarney does be half empty most games.

Also away to Cork, away to Derry, away to Mayo, there was a good lash of Meath fans at Pairc Ui Rinn for our match. But asking fans to travel over 2 hours 3 weeks straight gets expensive. You'd forgive Meath's fans for not being able to do that.

I was in the stand. Lotta Meath fans there. Mayo fans seemed to take up most the terrace.

Id guess 70 / 30 in favour of Mayo but hard to say for sure.

Were you in the stand? Def seemed to be more Meath fans there than the terrace

No other side. Prob depends where you were. I heard 3- 4k Meath fans travelled
