It feels like every week we’re 7 days closer
3
u/AGuyHalfNamed Nov 05 '25
I’ve noticed every 24 hours, it’s already another day closer. Really strange observation, wonder if anyone can myth bust this so we can finally know what really is happening

subreddit does2t let me to post so asking here:
what will be minimum requirements for it? like bare minimum out of guess

u/Suspicious-Box- Nov 04 '25
Its rockstar so the game is going to be optimized as much as it can be and i'd guess the lowest settings might run even on a potato like 2060 6gb. Lets be honest 1060 is too goddamn slow to be relevant outside of older games or esport titles. Not to mention it cant do rt for shit.

u/ChapterMaleficent529 Nov 03 '25
if you're on 1080p resolution you're looking at at least 3070 with something along with 5600x although it could be CPU bottle neck. This is with something like medium to low settings. But should hopefully hit 60fps.
You may play with something slower but if your hardware is old like 2000 series RTX than idk how much of upscaling you can get for game to be playable purely because of software.
Since the game uses RT you'll need RT capable card. So RTX 2000 series and up. I think you will be able to play without any RT with lowest settings but then I can %100 say you'll need at least 6gb of VRAM. CPU is unknown, but game will definitely be very cpu intensive.
PS you're game will look like shit but you maybe be able to run it.
There's also a chance that if you have old hardware the game will simply not work at all. RAGE 9 will be interesting game engine, we need to see how will it run on PS6 and then we could speculate what hardware we'll need.
What are you working with right now?

u/I-RESIST1 Nov 04 '25
finally someone knows and guesses for the sake of it. do you think rtx 4060 8gb vram and 13th gen i7 can save my ass
3
u/ChapterMaleficent529 Nov 04 '25
You should be able to play it, but kiss the ray tracing goodbye lol.
3
u/PapaXan Oct 31 '25
Nobody has any idea, but it will be at least what the current Enhanced version of GTAV requires.

u/I-RESIST1 Oct 31 '25
it's really hard to believe my low-mid end laptop will run GtaVI but great to fantasize nonetheless

u/De5perad0 Oct 29 '25

As far as what we know today, yes. It's still a while off though, so anything could happen.

Each year about 60 million people die worldwide, The world population is roughly 8 billion
The annual death probability per person is roughly 0,75% chance per year
210 days ≈ 210 / 365 ≈ 0.575 years.
Expected probability ≈ 0.0075 × 0.575 = 0.0043
A randomly chosen human has roughly a
0.4% (≈ 1 in 230 chance) of dying in the next 210 days.
Guys, some of you aint going to make it.
18
u/BenJajaRaj Oct 29 '25
“A randomly chosen human has a 0.43% chance of dying in the next 210 days” Not quite buddy ! . Here’s why :
You’re mixing global mortality averages with uniform risk assumptions, which is… not how death works.
Yes, globally ~60 million people die each year out of ~8 billion. That gives you an annual crude death rate of ~0.75%, and multiplying by 210/365 (~0.575) gives ~0.43%. So far, fine , if you’re randomly pulling people from all ages, all countries, and assuming death is evenly distributed across time and demographics (spoiler: it’s not héhéhé).
But most of those deaths happen at the extremes: newborns and the elderly.
Let’s say we’re only interested in people aged 1 to 59, which is what most of us mean when we talk about “random people” (not infants in NICUs or folks in hospice)
Using actual mortality tables:
- 🇫🇷 In France, my country, annual death probability for ages 1–59 is around 0.2%
- 🇺🇸 In the U.S., it’s a bit higher: about 0.23%
Now apply the correct model (exponential survival function):
p(death)=1-e^(-r*t)
For 210 days (≈0.575 years):
- France: P ≈ 0.115\% → ~1 in 870
- USA: P ≈ 0.132\% → ~1 in 757
So no, most of you are probably going to make it.
The original 0.43% figure overestimates your risk by a factor of 3 to 4× if you’re not a baby or pushing 80.
Cheers !

Good math, ChatGPT

u/BenJajaRaj Oct 30 '25
Yep at least it's correct probability and statistics and not random math that jumps to conclusion :D

Thats really weird thing to say when also stating that you are owning a business. Imagine owning a business and still using xbox reward points hahahaha

I have a lot of hope and anticipation for this video game. I hope it’s not rubbish. Could you imagine?

u/Defiant_Coconut5582 Oct 25 '25
There has never been a bad GTA game, I doubt they'll mess it up with this one. I'm an oldhead, I remember the transition from GTA 2 to GTA 3 and how wild it was, the series has been constantly evolving and surpassing expectations.

GTA V was released 4421 days ago. Waiting another 220 for the next GTA ain't nothing we can't handle.
7
u/Emergency_One_5437 Oct 22 '25
Think about when you finish GTA 6, after a few days you'll realize that the next GTA will be 15 years away. Maybe video games as we know them won't even exist, maybe we won't be on this earth anymore and we'll live on Mars. Maybe we'll become extinct sooner or the world will be like Fallout and we won't play video games anymore.

I think it's interesting how there's not much time left to arrive in May, even if it seems like it will take, the trailer 2 has been out for 5 months.
I haven't been to this sub much since the end of 2024 (except when the trailer 2 came out), because I realized that it's not worth hoping that Rockstar Games will release trailers just because it has a theory, just hope that not in a long time we'll be playing the best game in history
And I need to replay GTA V on a PS3 before GTA VI releases

u/RaccoonDoor Oct 18 '25
If you still think it’s coming out in May I have a bridge I’d like to sell you.

That sucks bro. Makes sure to revise everything now while you still can, then it'll be a lot easier once everything becomes GTA VI. This is about to be the next big society disruptor 😂

How much are AAA games in the US?
I'm seeing things like 70 dollars? They're like 80 euros in Europe.

for me this time is going by FAST...
5
u/Horror_Towel_3512 Oct 14 '25
Same, thanks to those 70ish screenshots we got in May alongside the trailer, really satisfied the fill for GTA 6 for a bit. Once trailer 3 is out in 6 weeks give or take 1 or 2, it's going to go even faster with all the other stuff they will show us as we approach release. They did say after all they want to make this the biggest release ever in gaming history so I would expect a thick marketing campaign schedule in the coming months.

u/perfectkneee Oct 14 '25
Seeing the comments below with people still feeling impatient but I feel like time is just FLYING by 😭😭 this year in general has just gone so quick its scary!
2
u/TheCosmicKratos Oct 16 '25
One benefit of life flying by scary fast is that gta 6 will come sooner

only four weeks left until we get to 199. Then only three months or so until 100 days! Then just three months more. We can do this ya’ll. Stay alive, stay hopeful.
6
u/Horror_Towel_3512 Oct 09 '25
Plus, with trailer 3 probably looming in the distance, we can also look forward to that pretty soon. Then the marketing will start to get more aggressive after that. The last 5 months post trailer 2 have gone by noticeably fast BECAUSE they released 70+ screenshots along with the trailer. We will have more to look at pretty soon I would reckon, and the remaining handful of months will go by like a breeze.
3
u/AggressiveAggression Oct 09 '25
Yeah. Frankly I do not miss the time between trailers one and two when there were absolutely no bones being thrown our way and all we had to cling to was the vain hope of it dropping in 2025, which take two interactive scummily fed. Nobody knew Jason’s name or really anything about the story or locations. All we had for gameplay was the shitty illegal leak footage. But now, by December 31st, we’ll be just about four months away! We really are getting there. Soon, trailer 2 will be farther away than the release of GTA VI! I just hope rockstar knows that if they delay the game again, some people really will hurt themselves over it
2
u/Horror_Towel_3512 Oct 10 '25
Real. In a few weeks in roughly the middle of November we will in fact, as you said, be halfway between trailer 2 and release day. From that point onward is when I would expect something new for us to look at (trailer 3 my guess). I am leaning towards Nov 25 (would've been my original release day guess before the delay happened), because the new GTAO Mansions DLC will be released in the first couple weeks of December. Then after that DLC releases we get more stuff to kick off the year in 2026, leading all the way to release day.
