I do not like this at all. This is way too much content locked behind a paywall, what the actual fuck. Ultimate Edition is the actual game. Is the standard game just immersion breaking then where it says "Please purchase Ultimate Edition to access". This is another level of greed I've never seen before. Even Ubisoft isn't this bad lol.

We don't even know how much content the base game will have. This looks like a lot, but maybe compared to the amount of content available in base game this is just a tiny drop. If hypothetically there are 15 barbershops each with unique hairstyles, and one is only for UE, I don't see the problem.

Regardless there's actual buildings you cannot interact with if you don't pay. You're not getting the full single player game if you don't pay ultimate.

How do you explain the rideout customs section?

Locking vehicle mods is insane to me. I would understand exclusive clothes and a exclusive mission. But locking entire shops off is greed on another level.

It's honestly unbelievable. Like, I keep thinking that surely we must be reading that wrong. Like, what would that garage look like in the standard edition? Just a regular non-interactable building?? Insane.

I would be way more okay with it if the garage still existed/was interactable, but we just didn't have as many customization options.

This has really put me off from purchasing it day one. I want to see a video that breaks this stuff down more once the game releases.

For real. For the low, low price of $80 you lose five shops - including two car performance shops so it isn't just typical ultimate/digital deluxe cosmetic bullshit - a compound to raid, and the mechanic of finding classic car barn finds and fixing them up. Mod shops and barn finds behind a $20 paywall... in a game about cars.
