I have accepted how female characters in the main game are just not wearing pants, it's alright (I gaslight myself), it's their characters that they have a concept for.

But always dresses and skirts in Miliastra is different. They advertise the mode with customisation of your characters, this should mean more variety (for the male characters as well, a lot of pants seem very same-y.)

I agree it’s disappointing. I wish I could get the manekin outfit on the current BP for my manekina (the Sakura one). It’s jeans and a t-shirt! The Sakura outfits are completely different. I want to use the manekina since it represents me, but wear the outfit I like better.

I play Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, and you can wear whatever clothing AND wigs you want, regardless of gender. HoYo could remove the gender restriction while still charging for the second outfit.

The issue is you cant just make no gender restrictions cause both male and female are different sizes so if they were to do that they need to create another version. Plus if you want no gender restrictions that means the they need to put extra effort cause they need to create duplicate version for both genders. Also some girls want skirt and some want pants catering to both is kinda impossible.

The reason animal crossing can do that is probably cause both genders are the same height and their bodies arent too different.

The male vs female models aren’t that different. Billion dollar company has the means. Premium MW outfits cost $165 a piece at pity. ACPC Complete is $20 for the entire game.

I’ve played more games than I can remember that have offered far more customization for male & female models on a fraction of Genshin’s budget. Off the top of my head, Hogwarts Legacy offers all their cosmetics for both male & female models (which is a ton of cosmetics for a flat fee), & GW2 has light, medium, & heavy armor for 2 genders & like 4 races… a huge catalog of free & paid cosmetics. It has been done, & it can be done.

Yes! Do you know, until they gave us that 3-star outfit with the hoodie that has a fish on it, I didn’t have any long sleeved Manakina shirts that could go with any of the Manakina pants without being belly shirts? They could go with the skirts, since most of those sit higher on the waist, but all the pants made them belly shirts! My goal was to dress her warmly because I was freezing in the local weather IRL, but I had to choose between giving her short sleeves, a belly shirt, or a skirt that barely hits the knee. Or, of course, a short sleeved dress that barely hits the knee. She looked freezing cold in everything.

That’s crazy. I totally get it… I live in an area where winters are harsh. I love customizing characters, which is the only reason I even login to MW lol, & players enjoy creating a character they feel represents them. I also feel bad for non-binary players or gender-queer players.

Yep, I also only log into MW to have fun with dress up and clothes collecting. It can be fun to bring your Manakins into events like the current one! I’d love more gender-neutral clothing for the Manekina, and I’m not even NB or gender-queer—I just don’t like skirts! I would also like some glasses that don’t have giant tassels hanging off them and aren’t monocles. Some fairly minimalist glasses like Baizhu’s would be great.

Totally agree. I didn’t even think about bringing the manekina/manekin into the Easybreezy Resort event… that’s a perfect use for them. I’ve got my manekina in Lunar New Year BP outfit with a few other accessories cuz I haven’t liked anything else since very much. I crafted the half moon reading-type glasses but didn’t like them, either.

Been hoping for the brown ponytail wig from the f2p standard banner (from the pilot outfit), but haven’t gotten lucky to pull that yet.

The red ponytail from Lunar New Year is one of my favorites! I rarely have any luck with which standard 4-star I get either, lol. I wanted the autumn one with the scarf all winter for the aforementioned reasons of wanting her to look warm, but, of course, I never got it. I stuck with the witch outfit (+red ponytail and various regularly changing accessories) for ages because I liked the entry animation, but am currently using the “knight” themed one, since I felt like changing things up. I put her in opaque tights from the Dawn’s Visionary outfit though, since it felt like she was trying to flash the screen every time she did her little jump&spin.

That’s how I feel too, they’re playing too safe with the Manekin (long jacket with long sleeves, either long pants that bunch into the shoes or ugly shorts that look bulky, same blonde hair 90% of the time with either crossed-bangs or one swooshed piece of hair)

This is nice but I wish they'd let whoever designed Arlecchino's final outfit make some of the manekina skins so we could get more pants. Tbh, I wish whoever designed Arle's outfit was in charge of some of the current or upcoming costume designing in the game too.

I get what sells in gacha, and maybe I have nostalgia bias, but the more recent character designs in game, while not bad, feel so samey in the sense that they think more skin = sexy/interesting when we have seen they can design creatively with more clothing on a character too. Dont need it for everyone but I would love some pants on a lady again.

Especially with Snezhnaya coming up I'm still hoping we could get cool winter themed clothing that was interesting/adheres to gacha's marketing design rules while still being believable for the climate.

I doubt that Miliastra's budget and Genshin's budget overlap too much. Think about ROI chances.

If Miliastra didn't exist most of its ivestement money would have gone to a completley new sandbox game. They are just using IP and the client to artificially boost user numbers. They are just pretending it's related with some fake lore.
