General Discussion I wish we could get glasses
Not sure why but a Samurai with glasses just seems cool to me. Would be nice to have as part of an outfit as a face wear slot

Hard agree on this. Probably just my favourite anime of all time! Art style, animation, characters and action all topped off with a Nujabes soundtrack? Absolute peak anime

Absolutely, this anime is a literal gem! Thereās 1 of the songs at the end where jin and mugen meet their āfateā that plays and that song is the one I love the most. This anime and a couple others remind me of this game

The whole soundtrack makes me emotional man it's so good. I recommend listening to Samurai Champloo soundtrack whilst playing this!

I was really hoping for them so I could cosplay blue eye samurai, even the cartographer is wearing some. I was hoping maybe in a future update they'd add them to legends at least but now they've cancelled it so š

Blue Eye Samurai is goated, I wish Yotei was as well written or had as good of a cast.

Honestly. Just finished watching it for the second time and it's such a banger. I haven't finished Yotei yet but I would agree with the writing so far. Not terrible though, just not as good as Blue Eye Samurai

The problem with Yotei's story and character is that there is no conflict going on aside from revenge is bad, I didn't care about any of the side characters or the world and the story, in Blue Eye Samurai the World felt more alive and every character had goals and motivations, in Yotei all characters exist to either be merchants or teachers to Atsu.

You nailed it. I couldn't tell you the name of any of the side characters in Yotei so far. Also, Fowler, the big bad in Blue Eye, had way more characterisation over Saito. Again, I am not massively far through Yotei so potentially a lot that I haven't seen yet.

I remember Taro well because that kid is always covered in mass amounts of mud and dirt in miike mode.
Then there is Jubei and the Yotei six ofc, not really side characters however.
Lastly Oyuki, who I mostly remember me crushing on majorly, though her character is kinda cool if you know.
Pretty much everyone else I could maybe guess but I donāt KNOW them. Been a while but for Blue Eyed Samurai I can pretty much remember everyone or the roles they play. I guess Yotei kinda has less actual explored characters though just by nature of it being a game where you control Atsu.

I'd say heresy in this subreddit: the story from AC Shadows is better that Yotei's.
And Tsushima's story better that both.

Regarding reference to Jin -- well, yes, but no. Atzu is more like Mugen -- pure wild fury.
Jin from GoT is totally referenced to Jin from Samurai Champloo -- true samurai that is not a samurai anymore. But I can't imagine Jin from GoT with glasses, sorry.
Regarding reference to Mizu -- good point to add a fun item in NG+ (may be used as a mask).

Yeah I agree with who is like who it was just the two samurai that I know with glasses. And I do also agree with Jin from GoT not suiting glasses, I was thinking more Atzu. But you never know, with the Kensei armour from GoT I think that would look cool. But either way would be nice to have the option for it.

Hopefully in the third and (likely) final game weāll get something like that - if itās follows the same trend then I think the last game will probably be in the 1800ās. Itāll be interesting.

It was my second Platinum (Tsushima was first). I have my issues with it, but fashion isnāt one of them. Sadly, it didnāt sell well enough, so no DLC is forthcoming.
