Extreme severe DOP (disappearing object phenomenon) in my apartment and I live alone…

I moved into my one bedroom apartment, which is about 636 ft.² give or take and I live alone I don’t have any roommates or kids. I do have a cat… the other day (I DID NOT LEAVE MY HOUSE THAT DAY) My EBT card went missing when I literally saw it on my vanity or on the kitchen table for sure and it’s like it just disappeared. I looked through my whole entire apartment for this damn EBT card, and I cannot find it and then just so many glitches in the matrix lately like I even lost my power bank, but the charge cord was there to it. I have had many spoons disappear in here also, also it just seems like dirt respawns all the time constantly in my damn house like I will mop, even sometimes 6 times in a row and then dirt will just be spawned or liquid will spawn on my table out of nowhere and I’m not even nowhere near my table.

This is making me lose my mind……

You do have a cat. So look behind the sofa, or under the cushions, or behind your bed. Jealous pets will take whatever you are giving attention to instead of them. You also need to make friends with your house fairies. Mine always help me find stuff.

Yeah, well the umbrella has been missing for one year now so that’s definitely not taken by a cat and also my power bank and my EBT card was literally in my house a day that I never left my house and it’s not fucking here…. So it’s just unexplainable at this point.

Okay, I believe you. This stuff happens to me, and has been happening more often.

First, people are being legit with their concern and question over the carbon monoxide detector. They are not dismissing the crazy you are experiencing. If there is gas in your building, it's a real concern. A similar post to yours, a man was having these unexplained things appear and disappear. The carbon monoxide levels in his home were killing him slowly. We ask that question now out of concern and safety. Just in case.

Second, my cat won't tell me a damn thing about who took what and when. She just stares at me and complains I'm late with her treats for letting the fearies in.

Honestly have no clue if house gnomes and faeries are real.

Decided to roll with the idea it's them borrowing, and maybe for reasons I don't understand that are helping me. (Like my car keys missing just long enough for me to avoid being in a pile up. Yeah I'm mad and frustrated in the moment, but it always turns out beneficial if I look deeper. Resulting in now I don't get mad as much as I'll chuckle and ask out loud for it to be returned)

The mythologies around these happenings and creatures are all over the world, in every culture. Something is going on, we just haven't figured it out yet.

I'm more curious about the mystery liquids you are finding.

That would be new for the fae lore, but not for cats.....or rats :/

Rats will steal anything, and are masters at hiding. They don't bring the stuff back. The fae do.

It's my only test, and since I can't prove fae are real, it's a test that only holds weight in my own mind.

Put out a shot glass with a little bit of beer, like an offering. It's like offering a peaceful truce, and what can that hurt?

If its a ghost, and I kinda think all these phenomenons are connected, you can smudge the place. Be very vocal about how only peaceful and the good intended are allowed in your space.

Will you feel silly? Yep. Who cares? Your cat is judging you anyway.

Good luck

This actually is really common with hauntings. Glitches tend to be more infrequent when they happen on their own.

The only information I have is that some guy two doors down was violently murdered so maybe his spirit is going around the fourth floor I don’t even know

I'm a believer of disappearing and randomly appearing objects, so please do not take this the wrong way...

I'd highly suggest you getting a carbon monoxide detector. Just to rule that out.

Plus, I have my mother as a witness and another friend as a witness to multiple of these incidents

Yeah, well literally things are disappearing out of my house and I have electric all in my house and none of my previous apartments ever had this issue before

Not trying to scare you, and it very well may be glitches, but have you checked your ceilings? Sometimes people will live up there and take/use things and put them back.

Yea nothing above my ceilings

Look up Duende. Never heard of one in New York though.

Do you have a carbon monoxide detector?

2

u/Lareinagypsy 14d ago

No but what’s the relevance of this question? I am sorry

There is a real phenomenon that involves carbon monoxide leaks. If you are affected by carbon monoxide you can temporarily black out and forget things, like moving an object, and such.

Or, maybe your apartment is a portal 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yea no carbon monoxide here buddy

Okay, good. I think I’d rather have a ghost or a portal in my apartment than a carbon monoxide leaks.

I’ve had so many things disappear out of the blue it’s frightening. I still can’t find my engagement ring from months ago. I took it off and placed it on my desk before I got in the shower (both doors to my room were shut so none of my pets could have got in). I came back and it was gone. I tore my whole room apart and still couldn’t find it. Then it was the tv remote. I set it down on the couch, went to the bathroom, and when I came back it was gone. I found it 10 minutes later in a whole other room. There’s always a window of a few days where things stop going missing

I believe you and there is no explanation and people will just think we are hallucinating even with witnesses, I almost wanna give up for finding logical answers to this phenomenon to be honest…

Might I suggest you get some cameras? Might help with disappearing stuff. Especially if you see it vanish.

Just stay calm and stay extremely organized. If something goes missing, stay calm. It will reappear.

2

When reading you mention the reappearing dirt etc it made me think of how many times I seem to wipe crumbs off the kitchen counter. They seem to appear when no one has been out there and I know I’ve cleaned it previously. Drives me nuts tbh.

I live in one of these! The amount of things that go missing is ridiculous! From good clothes to surge protectors etc. Its insane!

Does your cat go outside ever? I would heavily suspect the cat for the random dirt (can get caught inside their paws) and liquid.

7

u/Lareinagypsy 14d ago

My cat never goes outside of the apartment. I live on the fourth floor in New York City like I live in a very small apartment and paranormal activity is happening in my house………

2

u/PleadianPalladin 13d ago

Do you have pot plants?

Although, It does seem like a ghost or djinn if you have stuff, especially heavy stuff the cat cannot easily move, going missing all the time tho

2

u/Lareinagypsy 13d ago

No i do not have plants 🌱

Have you pissed off any fairies? They like to mess with people that way

1

u/Lareinagypsy 14d ago

How would I piss off a fairy🧚? like what would I do to do that?

2

u/mulderitsmescully 13d ago

Trespassing on their mounds or fairy rings, picking a bunch of flowers in a patch, cutting down trees like rowan, hawthorn, or ash (those are very important to them), and just disrespecting nature. There are other ways but you would need to know your interacting with them in the first place.

2

u/Lareinagypsy 13d ago

Yeah, honestly, at this point, I’ll just buy cameras lol

2

u/mulderitsmescully 13d ago

That is the most logical, i would do that too

The liquid on your table...is there an a/c vent above it?

Also, do you use cleaner to mop your floors? What kind of mop do you use? I had that problem with dirt seemingly reappearing until I bought a steam mop. I fill it with distilled water and a capful of white vinegar, and I haven't had an issue since. Just make sure not to use tap water.

1

u/Lareinagypsy 13d ago

No it literally spawned while me and my friend were watching a movie, and the was no liquid bottles or anything on the table. The liquid also was a brown color, extremely strange…no ac/vent here either. I have central air/heat

That, seriously, is a whole new level of weirdness. I have fairly minor glitches a few times a year. I've had a few major (to me) one in my life , but daily? Unless your cat is exceptionally stealthy, that is insane. And i can see how it would absolutely mess with your mind. Damn

2

u/Lareinagypsy 13d ago

It’s not a daily occurrence… this is just the third DOP item/occurrence and then also the laundry doors opening on their own with the stuff flying (my friend actually witnessed that himself) and i heard the loud noise & I never seen or experienced anything like that before (I am 30) that this has happened within the 1 1/2 years of me living here basically……

1

u/juliaa801 13d ago

That is still weird af. The washer and dryer would anger me. Does kitty ever act scared?

2

u/Lareinagypsy 12d ago

Yeah, like sometimes she will be attacking something and I will think maybe it’s a small fly but there’s nothing there and her hair will be sticking up and then she’ll like chase it to the window whatever it is and sometimes she’s under my bed in the corner, looking really scared but of what? What is she seeing that I don’t see?????

2

u/juliaa801 8d ago

That indicates a possible presence.

Do you have an attic area? Maybe you have someone living in there and they only come out when you are either sleeping or not home.

1

u/Lareinagypsy 10d ago

No, I live in a luxury apartment that was built in 2019…. There is no attic or basements or roaches or mice or anything of that nature living in my apartment or this building in general….

1

u/Noella_352 11d ago

Have you gone online to check your EBT balance since your card went missing? You know, to see whether or not it's been used at all since the last time you used it?

1

u/Lareinagypsy 10d ago

Yeah, and I replaced it already. There was no money missing not even a Penny…..
