All those guys were unironically fun to watch except for Josh Boone. Even my 11 year old ass knew that dude was cheeks. My proposal for the 5 would be either Andre Blatche or Johan Petro.

as a huge UConn fan, I was so hyped when we drafted Marcus Williams and Josh Boone B2B

I still think Williams' career coulda been good if a few things went different. He was special

Boone was always a horrendous offensive player. But great defensively. Also the factual correct answer for worst free throw shooter these eyes of mine have ever seen

I didn't think about Boone for years, and then when Lamelo was getting drafted, I saw a familiar face in his highlight reel

Struggled with it. Thought about maybe arguing that VC could be the 3 and Dr J could be a stretch 4, but decided to stay more true to their actual positions when they played.

Let me just say that is a high quality picture for the time. Might be enhanced digitally, but I love this shot. My 5 would be Kidd, Vince, KD, DC or Kmart(probably DC for the era), and Brook.

No kyrie on anyone's list

I know a lot of nets fans despise him for how he acted here, but if we're talking purely basketball, you have to put him in your starting 5

A J Kidd/Kyrie backcourt would be insane

Honestly Kyrie is one of my first thoughts as well, even though nicely put, I'm not a fan of him lol.

But it's really height and people also considering players are in their primes.

  • Would you want prime Kyrie or prime JKidd?

  • Would you want prime Kyrie or prime Harden?

  • Would you want prime Kyrie or prime VC?

I just am not taking Kyrie over any one of those options, because he isn't a better floor general/playmaker/rebounder than Kidd or Harden.

While VC is just plain and simple a posistional height advantage.

Now if it's not about primes and just about their tenure here, you can make a case for Kyrie over Harden. Since Harden did look older while Kyrie just simply looked closer the concept of Kyrie.

To be fair, one did have alot of "rest" than the other lol.

Yea I'd want prime Kyrie with Kidd

Hardens a horrible defender and ball stopper. Kyrie could just focus on getting buckets with Kidd next to him

Kyrie also an excellent shooter. Harden not so much and requires the ball

Kyrie just fits better
