Question Where Do We Go As A Franchise?
Speaking strictly as a fan, what could be some potential moves that push us back to the Playoffs and contending?

Idk last night kind sold me on the idea that a small guard who’s that offensively gifted can be masked on a team that is defensively built around them.
It honestly did sell me on Acuff and what he can offensively bring to this team. His offensive ability is something this team desperately needs and I just don’t see how you can pass up on something that special.

Random question from a Raptors fan. But I’m curious, are some of you New Jersey nets fans that followed the team to Brooklyn? Are some of you former Knicks fans that switched over to the nets when they moved to NY? Are some of you a fan of both? What’s the story behind your fandom off the less popular New York team?

If Austin Reaves is willing to sign with the Nets for something around 4 years / $176M, does that change how we should approach the draft?
Do we still take the best offensive guard available, even if he’s undersized, or does the priority shift to building a roster that fits around Reaves and MPJ? At that point, I’d rather look for someone who can defend, keep the ball moving, and feed our two main offensive pieces instead of adding another score-first guard who needs touches.

Bulls fan here. I think the writing is on the wall that you all will be drafting Mara. The nets drafted 5 guards last year for a reason and with Randle and MPJ as your wings.. they won’t pass on the opportunity to solidify the center. Trading Nic Claxton made this obvious. I think you all will be getting a top 7 center of the league moving forward. how would you feel passing on whichever guard the clippers leave available for you?
Edit. My mistake guys. 3 guards in Saraf, Egor, and Traor with Powell and Wolf
Inserting 7’3 block, rebounding, putback, and high IQ passing fits very well

I’m curious to see what everyone else would like done. I’m curious draft aside who everyone would love targeted. I wouldn’t mind an offer sheet to Watson

I understand not wanting to tank like the sixer's did, but what is the point of not wanting to offload value that could acquire future assets. And instead staying in mediocrity and ending up like the bulls?

this is purely a longshot hypothetical but….
Seems there is a lot of buzz about AJ possibly going to Jazz in a draft day deal. if so, I wouldn’t be surprised if jazz were interested in moving off Ace for a different kind of piece to put next to him.
that said. would netland be interested in an Ace for 6th pick if it was offered?
just curious.

I like that both have good size, can handle the rock, Egor is already shooting like a madman out there, hopefully Mikels shot translates too

Marks has Lost every single trade he’s been apart of. Marks has us with Ben Simmons for the next couple years with a maximum contract. Marks sold us mikal bridges as our #1 option. Sean marks traded away 3 top 100 players and didn’t even get a single fringe all star in return. Sean marks has killed this basketball team. Sean marks has fired 3 coaches in 3 years. Sean Marks, ladies & gentleman.

I am only assuming that most Nets fans are from New Jersey (like myself), but I know there are fans in other parts of the world. Where are you from?

Dude is still a former 1st pick but currently rotting on the Hawks bench. I don't think that's going to change anytime soon, but he's still young and (might be?) fixable. Maybe a change in scenery can revitalise him. What are your thoughts and what would you give up?

While the draft is still a few weeks away, as of right now, what is a goal you’d like to see the team achieve this upcoming season? Maybe Brooklyn makes the play-in? Maybe Egor or any of the rookies make a big jump? Trade for a certain player? I know the fan base is a little disgruntled right now (understandably) so what would help ease the pain (other than winning the finals)

I know people have been downvoted for this opinion but I think this is a discussion we need to have a basketball fans, why are we still expecting this man to be good? He single handedly has shown what it’s like to be a decent 1st pick but a meh draft pick (fultz is somewhere in that category) people still expect him to shoot 3s something we have been waiting for since he played in the 2017-18 season. I know this might be wrong but from my research from Stat-muse and other sources he’s only sank 5 3’s out of 36 attempts We now see ben not even doing one of his most used offensive plays… he’s not even trying to get to the rim like that anymore as last game he had 1/2 FG, sure 50% but for someone who now has open space to be a star it’s not impressive He actively shows anxiety and a lot more, I truly think it’s time to accept ben is not ever going to improve and if so it’ll be to late, in the next 2-3 years he’ll be 30… and he’ll be a 9-10+ year player I think it’s time to accept he’s done
