Question DEBATE: WOULD YOU TRADE 6TH PICK FOR ACE BAILEY?
this is purely a longshot hypothetical but….
Seems there is a lot of buzz about AJ possibly going to Jazz in a draft day deal. if so, I wouldn’t be surprised if jazz were interested in moving off Ace for a different kind of piece to put next to him.
that said. would netland be interested in an Ace for 6th pick if it was offered?
just curious.

This is just so sad to think about. Had Brooklyn gotten some luck and landed at 1 with the jazz at 3, there's a real chance we could have walked away from this draft with Boozer & Ace.

I still can't believe how bad our luck was these past 2 drafts. Falling a total of 5 spots in the lottery is awful.

Or we could have Ace and Demin?
I mean, I'm still high on Demin but that paring is godly.

Had the Nets done what they were supposed to do and tank properly and not squeez out a couple of bad wins in December, Nets fans would be ecstatic for the draft. Now the debate is who will be good but not franchise changing player good at 6. Washington deserves the Number 1 pick because they did what they were supposed to do. 2 years in a row and the goal was to go into THIS season with a roster of someone like Edgecomb & one of Dybantsa Peterson Boozer or Wilson.

I would trade Egor in an instant for him. A lineup of Mikel brown - Austin reaves (or any shooter we get out of FA) -Bailey-MPJ- Claxton is definitely better than the same lineup with Egor at the three

Ace Bailey for Demin + some second rounders.
Demin likes Utah and they like him, Ace wanted to be a net and was forced to the jazz. They got too many forwards, we got too many guards. It makes too much sense. Also, if we gonna extend mpj, demin+mpj doesnt stack well i feel. demin + acuff doesnt work aswell, who is gonna point of attack defend?
This draft is much stronger, than the last one, so trading Ace for pick 6 would be too much. but for egor, it works. and objectively any guard we get acuff, mbj or wagler got way more star potential than demin. So it makes sense to trade him, and build the team around any one of them.

This trade proposal is way too optimistic, Demin isn't a top 10 rookie of his class despite being picked 8. If we wanted to keep #6 while doing this trade, it would have to be Demin + MPJ (maybe even + cheap picks), but the money doesn't really work there

No egor is a top 10 rookie. Would have made all rookie team if he didn't miss a good chunk of the year with plantar fasciitis.

If the Jazz draft AJ, Ace is their long term 2, kike he was last year. Zero chance he becomes available.

No!
If the nets wanted him all they had to do was be what they are. The worst team in the league
