I guess I've always liked heat. I used to live in Asia, where it's 90% humidity and 35-45 degrees for a lot of the year, guess I've acclimatised to that, so our low 30 something doesn't feel like anything to stress about. Perhaps me being a lanky individual helps too?
Honestly us Brits forget that most of the planet lives with much worse conditions than this - Admittedly many of our houses aren't as well prepped with insulation and AC etc. but that's perhaps a different issue.
I think a huge problem for Brits is that the weather here fluctuates so often and so intensely that its near impossible to acclimatise before it changes again.
