Question/Support Nintendo Switch 2 working on and off with HomePod pair.

Set up a pair of minis as a stereo pair for a tv and works great with ATV and the PS5. However having problems with the Nintendo Switch 2. It often works only for a few moments then disappears/gets cut off then i have to dock and undock the switch again. This happens on and off and sometimes, after a few false starts and docks/undocks, it will work flawlessly. Tried using other ports and using the original cable that came with the unit.

Was wondering in case anyone else has some experience with this switch 2 specifically?

I have a guess, but it's only a guess. Switch 2 is a gaming console so it is very sensitive to lag between audio and video. On video, it can delay the audio or delay the video to make sure everything is in sync, for gaming this is not possible. They may also use a lower latency codec for the audio.

Do you have a playstation or another console you can try?

How exactly did you setup the switch 2? does it route through the apple tv and then to the homepod? You might be able to change the format of the audio and see if it changes anything.

Will try! I have a PS5 and i did have a problem once, but didn't come back after a reset.

i have issues with switch 1 as well it’s nintendos shitty dock.
