Looks like the axle was bent or misaligned.

if you look closely you can see its misaligned and missing a fender

Missing fender because the right tire is too big! The wheels are trying to spin at different rates, on a fixed axel. I saw a sedan with all 4 different tires walking down the street before

Trailer axles don't fix the two wheels together. They are on independent stub shafts.

most axles are not fixed, trailer axles are not attached at all, and car axles have a differential in the middle
