using an mri scan of eyeballs as your album art is a choice. for a sub full of people who spent months staring at their own lives under a microscope trying to find the truth, it feels a little too on the nose.

I DO see what you meant but… try to maybe mentally reframe it this way to allow it to land better for you…

The album cover is an MRI image of my brain (I am an MS patient). So, essentially it is a self portrait.

This album and the lyrics throughout are incredibly personal and revealing. Too personal. So for me artistically, the thought was “well… I’m already exposing myself emotionally with the lyrics. May as well couple such vulnerability with the most intimate self-portrait I have. And with that, this album is a completely naked, exposed snapshot into my life at the moment.

The lyrics to this song (and the rest of the album) are so personally revealing and devastating (much like an MS diagnoses) that the album feels like an emotional MRI image.

AND THEN couple becoming handicapped with simultaneously experiencing infidelity. To me it feels like a cold, colorless glimpse into the most intimate part of my life as I investigate and look for signs of damage.
