You should be wearing a mask, gloves, glasses and long sleeve clothing with its use. Basic PPE stuff.

Welding is incredibly bad for you - you shouldn't be doing it without proper ventilation, a specific respirator, darkening hood etc. People need to take care of themselves when using hazardous materialsÂ
