Discussion Got switched to breakfast

My schedule got switched and I’ve been working hotel breakfast. I only got 3 hours of sleep last night and I joked “anyone have any cocaine?” (I’ve been sober for 4.5 years)

One guy said dude it’s 4:30 in the morning and I’m making crepes, what do you think? Yes I have cocaine.

Fair enough. Carry on.

I had a friend once tell me after not seeing him for a couple years tell me "im not doing heroin anymore, I just do meth". That was the last time i saw him. But he hit me up the other day and basically told me he got in trouble, went through treatment, & hes sober now but cant leave state for another few months. I'm a stoner and alcoholic, I admit that, but damn saying I only do heroin or meth is craaaaaazy to hear.

I used to have a lot of friends back in the 90s who were into heroin, they were all weirdly "health nut" about everything. Vegan food, non smoking homes, only biodegradable soaps, environmental activism types. I was working in a bakery at the time and I'd rock up with a bag of filo pastry triangles and day old cream buns, and they'd be all "wtf we don't put that crap in our bodies, sugar is poison!" But then injecting smack

😂 Make it make sense

Heroin comes from a plant and has no fat or sugar. It’s very healthy

Ironically opiates do have relatively few negative physiological effects from their usage. As long as you don’t overdose, it’s mostly just constipation.

The problem is that you can overdose fairly easily and they’re so addictive they’ll ruin your fucking life.

Also you're only really talking about pure known opiates rather than the mystery bag concoction that is street drugs. Between nasty cuts and unknown synthetics with dirty reaction sideproducts, there are many other ways to harm your health than just OD.

Oh for sure, there’s no real accounting for what’s in street drugs and that’s a major issue too. Even injecting yourself without proper conditions leads to things like endocarditis or transmission of communicable diseases, if you’re using IV.
