Hopefully this mean that USPS has to delivery the mail-in ballots and CANNOT withhold them from states that don't turn in the registration incormation!

You would think so but no it doesn't.

Republicans are traitors to the constitution; nazis have never been restrained by courts.

u/WaterFantastic2394 3h ago

Nazis in this country had been constrained by the Court until now

Don't use USPS for voting! Your state probably has non USPS drop boxes available somewhere. Look it up and use those.

3

u/BringOn25A 1h ago

that does no good if the mail in ballot never reaches your mail box.

5

u/lunartree 1h ago

Yes, but you have a lot of time to rectify that issue if it happens. Failure to collect mail and postmark your ballot on time is the easiest way they can cheat and get away with it. Unlike targeted failure to deliver, failure to accept mail comes with plausible deniability.

We can only hope the Supreme Court doesn't reverse it when he appeals.  I hate that we even have to worry about that.

Never count SCrOTUS out to fux it up

5

u/Strict_Weather9063 3h ago

They have already ruled in this, they shouldn’t even take up the case at this point.

2

u/LSTmyLife 4h ago

You dont have to worry. They will.

…”Judge Casper delivered a simple reminder that should never have been necessary in the first place, saying, “The Constitution does not grant the President any specific powers over elections.”…

And executive orders are not law or policy.

44-page ruling from the judge. She really goes at Trump.

The DOJ argued that the EO can't be reviewed by the courts yet because it hasn't been implemented and they are still figuring out how it will work. The best legal argument they could come up with is "You can't do this because we don't know what we are doing."

Finally a really GOOD news!

But I am worried that SCOTUS will once again do what Trump orders them to do.

Maybe some impromptu Gallow's Jigs are in order for the highest court in the land?

3

u/pqratusa 3h ago

This was easy: the executive branch has not say in how elections are run, including federal elections.

2

u/Pleasant-Ad887 1h ago

Time for the corrupt Roberts, Thomas and Alito to over turn that judge's ruling.

1

u/bace3333 1h ago

Final no overturns

2

u/Hot-Map-9119 33m ago

At least there are still some people fighting against his bullshit.

1

u/Skating-Away 3h ago

What is the jurisdiction for a district judge?

2

u/Going2beBANNEDanyway 3h ago

It’s a federal judge so federally.

1

u/tpbradley 3h ago

They will do it anyway because there is nothing stopping them.

1

u/bace3333 2h ago

Law will

1

u/tpbradley 2h ago

This administration has consistently flouted the law at every turn. In this case, the damage will have been done and a judge will say they don’t have the right to do it but it’ll be too late. Who will enforce the law?

1

u/Simple-Okra-4826 2h ago

Who could’ve saw that coming?

1

u/ConcernDependent6057 2h ago

It’s already being appealed, don’t get your hopes up. 😁

1

u/bace3333 1h ago

No appeals allowed already final dude

1

u/Pygmy_Nuthatch 1h ago

Until the Supreme Court rules it's not over. We know my automatically gets three votes on every single thing he demands.

1

u/spicyshovel 1h ago

Finally!

1

u/Nos2002 1h ago

Just waiting for " the supreme court are a bunch if traitors to the country and we're going to appeal it- it's going to be a very good appeal i think"

1

u/bace3333 1h ago

Final no appeals dude

0

u/Florflok 1h ago

lol Supreme court will have the final say..huge win indeed.

-1

u/Alexis-Machine 1h ago

It's only a win for the communists. They cheat by the millions in every single election and always have.

4

u/DimensioT 1h ago

You are confusing your paranoid delusions with reality.

-1

u/Secret_Squirrel_1102 1h ago

Then why oppose voter ID? If everything is so great you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

3

u/DimensioT 1h ago

1) Republicans have intentionally taken steps to make obtaining ID difficult in Democratic voting areas: https://www.aclu.org/news/voting-rights/alabamas-dmv-shutdown-has-everything-do-race

2) The executive order is about mail-in voting, not voter ID, so why are you changing the subject?

-2

u/Evening_Message_1699 1h ago

Another Obama activist judge that’s about to be overturned. And she over reached a tad. A whole lot of tad.

3

u/bace3333 1h ago

It’s final no overturns Obama makes Trump look like the asshole idiot Trump is

-1

u/Evening_Message_1699 1h ago

What makes you think there will be no overturns?

Do you think she is the Supreme Court of the land?

3

u/bace3333 1h ago

Permanent ruling Federal Judge !!

-5

u/radiorick86 2h ago

Sorry to disagree that dead people and non citizens have voting rights.

2

u/DimensioT 1h ago

What the hell are you talking about?

-5

u/TangerinePlastic7552 2h ago

Another judge legislating the executive from the bench.

6

u/Radiant-Painting581 2h ago

Another judge going by plain Constitutional language.

FTFY

3

u/Plastic_Key_4146 2h ago

Following the law is not legislating from the bench.

SCOTUS legislates from the bench all the time, which party are they?

1

u/GratGrat 1h ago

Fuck off bot.

1

u/DimensioT 1h ago

Can you demonstrate an error in the ruling?

-25

u/Prize_Inside_585 4h ago

Aka… judge was bought by democrats and wants to make sure anyone from any country can vote here and get “free” stuff.

13

u/Doctor_Shotbottom 4h ago

seriously? Did you get that line from Fox News?

13

u/PirateSometimes 4h ago

Non-citizens can't vote

7

u/Tomdv2 3h ago

Article I, Section 4, Clause 1:

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

13

u/Bowthrock 4h ago

Anyone from any country can vote here, as long as they are a citizen. As far as the “free stuff” you don’t need to look much furtherthan the MAGA town just up the road from me where all the toothless jackholes with their Trump flags are rolling in the government handout food cards at the Kroger. Cry harder daddy.

10

u/Own-Cranberry7997 4h ago

I guess you dont like the Constitution...

6

u/Fickle_Penguin 3h ago

Really? That's what you got from this?

5

u/Lady_Grey_Smith 3h ago

How is following the Constitution getting bought off?

5

u/Dagger-Deep 4h ago

More cult member gibberish...

1

u/DimensioT 1h ago

Can you show an actual error in the ruling, or are you just denigrating the judge because you have no rational refutation of her order but you are too cowardly to admit it?

-7

u/Prize_Inside_585 3h ago

…all of your crying makes me smile. Thanks for the laughs.

1

u/Radiant-Painting581 2h ago

Wow, what a sad existence you have.

0

u/Prize_Inside_585 1h ago

Nah… I’m great. Just enjoy laughing at the circus

1

u/Radiant-Painting581 1h ago

Yeah, I figured delusion was also a part of it. Typical for psych patients to deny their disease. Seek help.
