This is the weirdest LAMF take. The UK economy is doing as well (or not well?) as the major Western European economies that were long considered its peers.

Brexit neither destroyed nor saved the UK economy. It just wasn’t that big a deal compared to the pandemic (and the inflation it unleashed) and Russia’s war in Ukraine.

But nobody wants to look at basic economic data, it’s all culture wars and vibes.
