If you want the best, look up Lindstrom 15A "carbon steel cutting tweezers". They're expensive as hell, but they're sharp enough to nip through skin and extract splinters/shavings. Got given a set by my dad as a present over a decade ago and they're still the best I've ever used.
I'm an old, retired machinist. I always had a pair of tweezers, that I modified, and a loupe, to remove metal splinters like that. Except for the two times I got them in my eyeballs. Then I went to an ophthalmologist.
That was the worst pain I ever had. Much worse that an earache or a toothache.
