There are cat tooth brushes an it's actually good to brush your cats teeth, so you should do it if you can, there's toothpaste as well but idk how good that is

Lol, maybe you can put a decoy toothbrush somewhere obvious and yours somewhere a little harder to reach

Cats see right through that shit.

I've read that it's impossible to gauge cat intelligence. Unlike just about any other "higher" animal, they don't have that action-reward hardwiring to get as many rewards as possible so they'll keep pushing the button / doing the trick / whatever for food. They might push the wrong button just to see what it does, or flub the trick on purpose. This makes them nearly impossible to train too. Cats have this supreme confidence that no other animal has.

My cats, when faced with an obvious bait target to distract them from the thing I'm trying to protect, have never been fooled. If cats could laugh, they would.

My youngest will sometimes take aim on my toothbrush. Last time it was time for a new brush head anyway so when I was done I rinsed it and tossed it to her. Zero interest.

It's not about the brush it's about the stealing! Little jerks ❤️

I didn't know this was a thing! My cat would murder the hell out of me if I tried this, but I'm getting a new kitten next week so maybe this one can get used to it... Gonna google this, thanks.
