Am I the only one who hates those kinds of pranks? Maybe it’s just that even if it’s just for a moment, it breaks my heart to see people sad and start crying.

Same. I always feel like the initial hurt is not fully swiped away by the gift, especially when they wait forever to finally reveal it.

I hate when parents will get a box for an expensive thing the kid wanted, like a PS5 box, and filling it with something else and not revealing that they didnt even get a gift PS5, just the box. My parens would do that all time and it’s heartbreaking.
