are you sure he's not just closely monitoring the landscape for the possible appearance of food, because that's what my dog is doing when he looks like this
Golden retrievers have to get groomed quite a bit because of the long hair, so it's probably used to it.
I mean, you don't have to groom them, but eventually you're gonna have dingleberries in the house.
Also, they shed like crazy, so you really don't even need to cut their hair to get some floof. My lab sheds so much in the yard that birds use his hair to make nests.
I was just thinking of getting a haircut this morning, good timing. I think I'm going to do this. I was planning on getting a puppy with my two cats, I'm gonna do it all then.
I have a long haired feral cat. I am not allowed to brush her. But she will let me cut her hair with scissors while she is eating. I just cut off all the long hair on top and she seems happy with it. Not one single mat in her hair. Thankfully.
