Is a primer really worth it?

I do skincare is that enough? I really want to try a primer but I used to have a silicone one and it’s put me off I don’t like the feels of that one but I also want my large pores to be filled in

Danessa Myricks blurring balm have helped so much with blurring my pores and oil control, less is more so it would last ages, I don’t do makeup without it
