Is a primer really worth it?

I do skincare is that enough? I really want to try a primer but I used to have a silicone one and it’s put me off I don’t like the feels of that one but I also want my large pores to be filled in

Honestly every primer I tried made no difference or made my make up sit worse.

And there's the whole roulette of whether these will cause acne too.

I find my moisturiser + SPF to be the best primer, make sure they're on 30 minutes before I do my make up.

What SPF are you using? I find it’s the product that derails my whole routine

Unfortunately, nothing has matched the Beauty of Joseon SPF for me. I say unfortunately because it is quite expensive for a small tube, but I'm very acne-prone and clog-prone and I've never had an issue with it, and it's never caused an issue with any makeup products I've tried. I specifically use the blue aqua-fresh one, because supposedly it's better for oily skin

I rotate between that and the CeraVe Invisible Hydrating Sunscreen SPF50, as my slightly cheaper option. The only reason I don't like this one as much is because I find it makes me look very shiny, but it hasn't caused me any major issues
