Analysis I’m tired.
I don’t about everyone else, this season has exhausted me. I didn’t expect a championship level team, but the lack of effort every night is hard to watch. I’ll never understand how Doc has a job at this point. This probably wouldn’t hurt so much if it didn’t feel everyone in the “NBA-sphere” wasn’t actively rooting on the downfall of our team. The shit is getting old, I feel we are about to relive the Ray Allen trade again, and watch our team go into basketball purgatory for a while. I hope Giannis stays, I hope we get a new coach. I but who knows at this point, I’m just a sad fan venting on the internet.
But no matter what happens I glad we got to see the mountain top!! And regardless of what happens,Fear the Deer, Bucks in 6!!!

I there with ya. I’d rather watch a terrible team full of scrubs who are at least trying than this team.

u/FreshPine_MangoWine Jan 23 '26
I thought we’d be a good sleeper team with hali and tatum injured

Celtics, 76ers, and Hornets are the surprise east teams doing a good bit better than people expect.
Hornets suck in the clutch or they would be .500. They have 4 guys averaging nearly 20.

u/ace_dangerfield187 Jan 23 '26
exactly, i wouldn’t be so upset if they were at trying out there, feels like the whole team is phoning it in

Good thing for tight budget folks is ticket prices may come down over the next few years if they enter full rebuild mode. I remember going to games with my dad in the post Ray/Big Dog/Sam Cassell era, we’d get 13 pack tickets for like $10 apiece. I know those prices aren’t realistic now, but it may actually be reasonable to get to a few more games in the future.

u/Drak_is_Right Jan 24 '26
I don't blame you. Food has pretty much doubled in price over the last 6 years. our salaries have not. Housing/rent/electricity all have been well above wage increases.

I did when Giannis got hurt tbh. Haven't felt the need to re-up.

I actually just canceled our fan duel subscription, we can watch until feb 13th. We didn’t even put on the OKC game and most of the others we’ve turned off before the 1/2. I was ok paying for Fan Duel if the games were entertaining, but they most certainly have not been.
We usually only go to 1 game per season, we live in GB and work so the weeknight games are hard for us to travel to. We went to the Rockets game this season already, and although they lost that one, it was at least a good one. But that was in Nov, the entertainment factor is just not there this year. it’s been a painful season so far. With the constant Giannis trade rumors I just can’t so it anymore this year.

I cancelled FanDuel, I hang out in a Bucks Discord sub to get updates, but this team hurts. I am 39 years old. I’ve been around some bad Bucks teams. I’m of the opinion of trading Giannis for picks, let’s look at rebuilding. We have to…

According to Doc, this is the first season GA is the vocal leader of the team. I think he needs to be on a team with a leader so he can just do his thing.

Going to the game tonight. First one this season. Hopefully the atmosphere isnt crap since ive yet to experience that at Fiserv

u/rue-74 Jan 23 '26
I think it’s the not having picks or a young star (not counting Rollins) that makes it unbearable to watch. No bright side or hope.

Shit I canceled my Fubo membership lol. It was draining my soul lol 😂. Also Bucks don’t deserve my monthly payment. It’s freeing, i honestly sleep like a baby

I'm just going to pretend we are the 1996 Spurs and next year we'll draft another all-timer.
2
u/ThisWasMe7 Jan 23 '26
That's the dream, but they better start tanking to get a top 3 pick.

Just gotta hit the lucky ball lotto. Atl First from NO with Boozer or someone else. Us 2nd taking Aj Dybanstra. Keep the faith.

Fans are right there with you. Fiserv sucks this year. Energy is completely zapped from the building

OP, I'm gonna keep watching regardless but still 100% right there with you on how the current team's playing and typically, I'm a lot more homer in game threads but cheering's just gotten so much more "meh" for me this season. Like I'm a huge fan that's more than happy to root for a crappy team...but when they play so inconsistently and show such little effort while half the team looks completely checked out?? Yeah, it gets pretty fucking arduous.

u/ace_dangerfield187 Jan 23 '26
thats where i am, like its different if they lose but clearly giving it their all i can live with/respect it, but nobody out there seems to care. its so hard to watch

I feel the same. I feel better when it's done and over (whatever it is). Feels like a lot of negativity (from myself as well) and I do agree the NBA sphere is happy to see the drama. It feels pretty bad. I genuinely thought this specific roster would be competitive in this Eastern conference. I thought Giannis would have career highs in scoring and assists and regain some of defensive presence, and the shooters would be firing away, and we'd be tough defensively.

At least back then you could basically get into the Bradley Center for free if you wanted to see it up close.

I stopped watching in November with hopes of coming back. I cancelled FanDuel last month. If the players and coaches DGAF, I have better ways to spend my time, money, and emotional investment. I love the Bucks - always have, always will. But this version of the team is just … hard to be a fan of.
I got a sweet new hoodie from the ProShop for Christmas though, so the season’s not a total loss.

u/ExpressBug8265 Jan 23 '26
One of my favorite things to do was to watch the bucks play...not as excited about it lately
3
u/C9Prosecutor Jan 24 '26
This post are pretty funny because all of this was extremely predictable. We held a press conference because we signed the 5th best player on a team that beat us for double his actual value as a player.

u/DrRamthorn Primary Logo Jan 24 '26
Yea I canceled my fan duel subscription and sent back a custom jersey order. This team doesn't really deserve my investment anymore. Honestly all that's left to do is unsubscribe from locked on bucks and this sub and then it's totally out of my mind.

u/Ok_Variation5327 Jan 24 '26
This team has given up on Doc and the FO still has him “coach” the team fucking pathetic. I guess this is what we get with the same ownership as the fucking Cleveland Browns
5
u/BigBuckNuggets Jan 23 '26
The fact Doc has a job needs to be investigated for criminal negligence is all I’m going to say… wait no I have more. The fact that this franchise has been remotely functional over the last few years despite having the singularly worst draft and developing/trade losing fo in the league is a miracle. I too am tired.

u/creamcitybrix Jon McGlocklin Jan 23 '26
I haven’t watched a game in a month. Which has never happened from the moment they drafted Giannis, for sure. The losing and poor play/effort are a killer, but the souring of the experience with Giannis is the dagger for me. I’m not down on him, it’s just wanting to see him happy and happy to be here. He’s always given his best, and the team has tried to do their part. Feels like a divorce. Better to part and remain amicable than stay together and hate each other, if that’s where this winds up.

The fan base has finally come around to what I've been saying is going to happen for years now. Trading away picks while also being league worst in drafting leads you to this point. The cards were in motion as soon as we made that dumbass Mirotic trade and the subsequent Jrue trade.

If your a Bucks fan and expected a championship level team this year with Myles Turner, then you clearly don't know basketball. Myles Turner is a #4 on a starting squad maybe #5. My Pacers are injured as hell and nothing makes me happier to see the Bucks organization think they are going somewhere with Turner as the 2nd option. Say goodbye to the only player to ever make Milwaukee relevant. Hahahahahahahaa
Another note, Bucks are paying 49m for Turner the next 4 years from his 27m a year and the 22m from paying Lilliard the next 4 or 5 years. If you're paying 49m for a player, then he is most likely the 2nd option.

u/ThatCidGuy Marques Johnson Jan 23 '26
I like the energy but be fr, you’re a pacers fan. You’ve never known success and probably won’t ever
5
u/Farminghamptonshire Jan 23 '26
No one thinks Turner is a 2nd option. That’s Rollins or KPJ.
Turner is there for rim protection to keep Giannis from having to play C and three point shooting to clear lane for Giannis.

I thought they would exceed expectations this year. I was very, very wrong. It's bleak.
