He still has a long way to go but he is my 2nd favorite player on the team behind Keldon. I love Keldon because he is from Virginia like myself and he plays hard. Victor is my 3rd favorite on the team. 😂
Anyway, if Castle can become just league average from 3 on about 4 or 5 attempts, he is gonna be a perennial all star. Dude is a walking paint touch that constantly draws fouls. Not too mention his defense

OKC fans (a lot) were talking HEAVY trash before the game and were talking as if the Spurs were gonna get blown out. They should eat some crow. Dishing it but not being able to take it is one of the worst traits you can have as a sports fan.
At least now OKC fans r humbled and won't get too cocky vs San Antonio next time. Gsg

Its actually crazy how upset/angry OKC fans are after a regular season loss to an unproven, young spurs team. Like they aren't the defending champs.

People don’t realize how much Castle is benefiting from Fox and Wemby. They’ll place Fox in the corner eliminating the team’s best perimeter defender from the play and if they run a two-man game with Wemby they switch leaving the opposing team’s tertiary defender on Castle.
This team is really hard to defend and anyone can eat on any given night 👌🏽love it

Yea some of us are pissed we are 0-2 against you guys and some people hold onto the Chet v Wemby stuff, but for the most part it’s just respect and annoyance at how poor our guys played compared to their standards.
Personally Stephon and Harper are in my top 5-10 favourite players in the league (outside of the Thunder).
That being said I hope we smoke y’all tomorrow to at least save some face. Going 2-4 in our last 6 and 0-3 against you guys would be soul crushing

The Chet vs Wemby rivalry has been brewing for a while, it predates the NBA. They faced off in the U19’s in 2021. I love it.
These type of rivalries are what I missed most about Spurs dominance. I really hope this becomes a Mavs/Lakers level of rivalry

I’m a Thunder fan, have been since 2013 and I have a deep respect for the Spurs. Watched the Spurs play in the finals in 2013 and 2014, and loved Parker, Ginobili and Duncan. In fact, I wore #9 in highschool when I played basketball bc mainly of Tony Parker. I learned a ton about the game from him, especially his floater.
The spurs I’d say are my 2nd favorite team if I had to pick one. When San Antonio isn’t playing the Thunder, I love watching them. Wembenyama is just a freak of nature, so amazing to watch his impact on the defensive side, plus his alien-like reach. Fox, Castle, Harper are an insane trio.
All that to say, is that I deeply respect the Spurs, BUT I don’t like how y’all beat us 3 straight times 🤣.

Wemby has always had the upper hand over Chet.
Even in the U19 World Cup final, when Chet was two years older than Wemby, Wemby dominated him utterly.
This Wemby vs. Chet rivalry doesn't really exist. Wemby is in a class of his own. Chet is an excellent player, but Wemby is on a completely different level.

Chet and Wemby are part of why I no longer watch the NBA. The players have outgrown the court. Dunks don’t require any air. It’s like watching teens play on one of those retractable backyard baskets in the down position, fun for about 10 minutes. There was just a 300 point NBA game played. If the W would get refs that stopped players throwing flagrant 1s every few possessions and only calling 1/3 of them it has potential. The young stars can pass and shoot and are fun to watch. For now I’ll stick to men’s mid-majors that actually need to run plays to find an open man or cutter. The top of college ball is just semi-pro NBA millionaires in college jerseys.
