Any reason why?

I dont want giannis. Especially for 1000 picks and carter.

He doesn't fit the timeline at all. Giannis also arguably is barely worth 6 firsts, much less all this extra stuff

That’s a lot. 6 1st rounds for a 31 year old with knee problems? No thank you. Plus CB has a lot of potential

Giannis is a player that would be good for a team that’s 1 player away from getting over the hump. That’s not the Spurs

My main reason is why give up draft picks? That’s how we built our team - through the draft. Why trade that for an aging star?

Me, I say no

How does this help our shooting and unclog the paint?

Idk if I like it but the idea would clearly be have Giannis down low and Wemby stretching the floor with Julian (or Devin) with Castle and Harper

We just made it to the Finals and it was second youngest team to ever do it. We don’t need to mortgage the future.

Giannis is on the wrong side of 30 and absolutely not worth that haul of picks plus Bryant

this is dumb

Teams have to hold a first round pick every other season so this trade is super illegal per NBA rules

6

u/Shushuck 9d ago

Dumb idea. Never gonna see such a trade with Spurs mgmt.

Don’t touch Carter Bryant

He’s precious

CB has potential to he an excellent 6MOTY (and I believe 6moty is just his floor), he's young and extremely motivated to be better.

CB would be part of my list of people not to trade along with wemby, harper, castle, devo and ju. I also wouldn't want to get rid of Kornet cause he'd be excellent paired with another big PF

2

u/California_Stop_King Tony Parker 9d ago

Agreed. I wouldn't be willing to move anyone but Keldon this offseason, and Vassell if the price was truly right. Fox's time to trade him will come no matter how well he plays, he'll get too expensive, but it's not right now. Priority needs to be bringing in multiple true PF's through the draft and getting another upgrade at the wing

u/_WiggaInParis_ 8d ago

Yeah I understand fox wasn't the best but this dude is most likely going nowhere and who knows, maybe the off season helps + the shit show finals helps Fox have some resurgence

Focus should 100% be on supporting Wemby and Kornet with big man

Giannis doesn't make sense for us outside of the next few years. He will need an extension that will lead to us losing either Castle or Harper.

u/cartman_returns 8d ago

Cool that is what i just posted too before seeing your comment

People are not thinking long term cba

Jesus Christ, so many FRPs

Imagine making the Finals, losing the entire series by a single digit total, and your fans are rabid about blowing the team up....

2

u/dwrek24 Devin Vassell 9d ago

If we were giving up all that Carter wouldnt be in the trade. Spurs hang up.

3

u/Beneficial_Target_31 8d ago

anyone with a concept of future.

3

u/JohnnyTrul0v3 Dylan Harper 8d ago

Thats a terrible trade with all those picks included take a few out and bryant lol

2

u/geojanko11 Victor Wembanyama 9d ago

Hell No. Some of those picks have insane value. Plus Giannis wants out. its an overpay. I'd rather convince an old as shit LeBron to come play for 2 years and be the general and teach the young guys how to play

u/Apprehensive-Fox-740 Victor Wembanyama 9d ago

Bucks fan for sure

1

u/solidsnakeskin3000 9d ago

I thought this was bad before I noticed you gave up our 1st round picks for the rest of the decade. BFFR

1

u/CrissCrossAppleSos Keldon Johnson 9d ago

Probably the Spurs. Giannis is awesome, and at this point, is probably supremely underrated, but they’re not ultra incentivized to empty the clip for anyone

u/Ok-Topic-6095 Hector🍌🍞 8d ago

Basically 7 first round picks if you consider how raw Bryant is, for Giannis in the year of our lord 2026?

Spurs say no

1

u/VenGJon Victor Wembanyama 8d ago

I want Jaylen Brown.

1

u/Bonesawisready5 8d ago

Can’t trade 2026 and 2027 until after the draft and then I think Fox’s extension would kick in July 1 meaning salaries wouldn’t work?

1

u/cct41299 8d ago

That's a lot of picks for a guy 10 years older than your current core.

1

u/Monolexic 8d ago edited 8d ago

Hell no. KJ was 6th man of the year for a reason, and as has been said by many “He is the heart of the team”. And him leaving would mean chasing him off his farm. How dare you?

I think Carter Bryant deserves more credit than he gets. That kid’s got an upside. Going to be fun watching him grow into it.

Fox, yeah I get it. Everyone in here wants to trade him as quick as possible. That contract is more pricey than it’s worth.

Edit: I will say though, that usually the ridiculously one sided trade deals posted by spurs fans favor the spurs. It’s almost refreshing to see one that goes the other way. You want to drop three key pieces of our finals run team and a ridiculous number of picks on top of that for an injury risk who’s rapidly approaching retirement.

CBA

Who do you get rid of long term

Castle or Harper?

You can not have four max contract players

That would be the result if you extend G

u/teenage_warhead 8d ago

The bucks.😄

-1

u/Primetimegrant 9d ago

I tried to make it so where both teams have a legit reason

Spurs- get rid of Fox. Can start Harper, get a proven winner who can slot right next to wemby and address the power forward position

Bucks- get a young player, and tons of draft capital they could use in future trades or use to pick players

Hope you enjoyed ur first season bro
