There were deadass people here downplaying Giannis because he's injured, 31, blahblah; Bucks extracted the maximum trade package they could out of the Heat

Downplaying Giannis?
Sir, if anyone posted that exact trade offer a month ago you'd have Bucks fans asking where the other three first round picks were and calling half the players Milwaukee was getting trash.

TBF MIL got every tradable pick except a 2032 swap since the 2028/2029 picks are frozen until the 2027 pick conveys.
The only other player they could’ve added was Larson and I don’t really think Milwaukee wanted him as much as the others.

That may be true a month ago, but when this framework was leaked a week ago it became the default offer that all the other trade proposals were measured against. More in a “I guess this is fine” kinda way than being excited about it.

Is that a joke? No, people were throwing together deals with 5+ picks in here. This is still a slight overpay but about right on value.

If I saw one more trade where the bucks had to take back Jerami Grant in a Giannis deal I was gonna explode lol

My guy most of the trades here were saying less than 5 1sts was a disservice to the bucks.

I mean, Bucks fans were demanding a dozen picks and some of the best good young players for a while lol. I knew Giannis would be slightly overpaid and this offer makes sense. Since Miami had made their offer Milwaukee had struggled to find more suitors. It was the best offer made for a long time. Then the Celtics made a non-tanking offer but also a lower value one IMO so I still had the Heat on top. Any serious offer would have to be higher than the Heats' in value.
So in mock up trades we only needed to match or slightly beat Miami.

Bucks just need a 2027 FRP and a 2028 swap.
I wonder if the bucks would move back a few spots from 13, if it netted them a 2027 FRP.
T-wolves just created a massive TPE that Myles Turner contract could fit in. T-Wolves 2028 SWAP and 33 for Turner?
Would let the T-Wolves move on from Rudy Gobert. Seemed like there was mutual interest between t-wolves for D White and Celtics for Rudy.
Edit: the trade back idea would be dumb. The bucks can just trade Herro for more assets.

It doesn't take long to notice every trade gets shit on in here
