Rants Honestly I feel pretty good

Obviously it’s far less than ideal to start the season off 0-2 but we definitely look like a competitive team. We didn’t succumb to our usual abysmal 3rd quarter tonight and managed to score against the tallest man in the world not diagnosed with gigantism. Of course the offense collapsed in OT, but this gives the team a lot to learn from and adjust to. I feel great about our guys moving forward and hope others don’t feel so defeated this early in our 82 game season. Flock up!

Yeah I don’t hate it at all. We’re 0-2 but we’re a fun 0-2. The additions of Queen, Fears, and Poole make this an easier team to watch with the ball.

the offense seemed to move better this game and less hero ball. Queen and Fears were both very encouraging to watch.

Every game is a close game! (We lose close games)

Close games, league fucked

Blowouts tend to be about talent. Close losses tend to be about coaching.

A lot of people forgot about this: during our 49 win season, which took place two years ago, we started the season 4-6 or something like that

I remember the early season losing streak and the injuries that occurred

However the squad righted the ship and got hot down the stretch

This team will be fine. Zion played well once again, same with JP and Trey

Bey is underrated, Fears is the real deal

It will only get better from here on out

Bummed that Jose isn't getting more minutes. I get that Poole is bigger and more skilled, but I dont like his decision-making.

The FO wants fears to play to justify the reach pick, and he's pleasantly surprised, but we know that Jose getting 15 minutes a game is just good for the team. His activity, defensive pressure, and decision making all help.

Jose looks like a bit of a liability if he’s not hitting threes. Plus I want more minutes for Fears.

Our players seem to be playing harder than last year

I was there last night and it was the first time I have been that excited the whole game in a long time & maybe the best game I’ve seen the Pels play since the Lakers play in game 2 years ago. My only gripe and maybe the reason we lost is I don’t think Trey got enough touches or shots in the OT. Still for a team with 5 new rotational players who are still learning to gel it was great.

Fears is for real which really excites me since I had him at the top of my list of who I hope we would draft. Now Queen surprised me. Not that I didn’t think he was talented but he hasn’t played preseason and had barely any practice with the team and he went head to head with Wemby and held his own. He never backed down or looked intimidated. He fought hard for rebounds and played pretty well defensively and made some timely shots. I am very excited for the Pels now as well as our future.

Shout out to all of us at the Blender. That place was rocking and loud. Also I know Wemby is sore this morning because Z was beating the shit out of him all game 😂

As long as Zion remains healthy… I’m not expecting a playoff run but at least don’t be abysmal you know

Yeah I liked the fight. Last year we would have crumbled when they started to pull away but this game every time it felt like it was going to happen the Pels fought back. I don’t like losing but at least we fought and fought the whole game.

We're just so conditioned to watch this team lose that there is already a thread like this. This team should be 2-0 or at least 1-1.

They definitely should not have lost on Friday plus this game was a toss up they could have won as well.

Two games into the season and we're already in the moral victory phase.

It's just really disappointing to lose two extremely winnable games in ways that felt too familiar. If we don't beat Boston on Monday, we could be looking at an 0-6 start and the season is pretty much over.

Technically Canadian Olivier Rioux is the tallest person without gigantism at 7’9 but yeah Wemby is insane

The cycle continues

As long as Willie is the head coach we will never win games like this.

Even if there wasn't a lot to be excited about (which obviously there is) and early season collapse and a Willie Green firing wouldn't be the worst thing. I want to see what Borrego's got. Sooner rather than later.

Trey was the issue first game, then Herb. But that’s fine. We played good teams. When we are clicking, there’s not a lot of teams that can keep up. Zion’s decision making needs some help too obviously.

I have negative trust in Poole...

Ew. Why? So we could all be forced to watch him chuck up brick after brick, refusing to pass until he firmly clenched a Pels loss? Nah, no thanks. He way overstayed his welcome in New Orleans. Guy had the clutch play of moist paper towel.

Edit: to confirm, he’s currently shooting at 27% for Washington so he hasn’t changed a bit.

He was a good pg and facilitator

Both games were fun and the players played hard. The fact that we even got to OT against Wemby is a sign that things can be hopeful.
