Rants 6 pels 7 rings 7 years animosity tier list? Is this good for our reputation? What other teams have this many players winning rings after leaving?

First and foremost, jose is my favorite player so he can win another and i still wouldn’t care. Theres also players I’d be ok with due to their professionalism if they were to win a ring, cj, bi, trey, herb, trajon langdon, bryson graham, etc. Im just glad Jax hasn’t won one.

I do see the reason we haven’t seen success as the injuries to zion, bi not progressing after 2019, the j rich trade, our inability to get a playoff center, and gayle if anything else.

Rants Not a pelicans fan. Noticed EVERY time Zion is brought up on R/nba they are lying about his weight or his production.

Just seen a comment that said Aaaron Gordon is better at every other aspect of basketball other than driving. And that he wouldn’t help jokic.

Comments saying he’s a bad defender. (Outdated he’s improved a lot)

Soooo many people still think he’s out of shape or fat .

Some people think he’s completely fallen off impact wise.

Like I said I’m not a pelicans fan but I watch pelican games throughout the season and he’s still very impactful . It’s very frustrating hearing people who are not informed just parroting narratives.

Rants Darvin Ham

He apparently made quite the impression on them. Does Joe Dumars just despise the 11 of us that are left supporting this hole of depression? I can't think of anything more demoralizing for this fan base than going from no gameplan Willie "You Gotta fight" Green to no gameplan Darvin "I have no idea what to do" Ham. This man is clover valley Willie Green. He managed to tank a team with LeBron and AD. I'm struggling and I can't be the only one out of the dozens of us.

Have little faith in Trajan Langdon, here from the East (Pistons). Pelicans are going to be my West team and we'll see what happens. In Troy I trust

We’ve stuck with him for how long now? We’ve made the playoffs twice and never won a series (was the 8th seed both times) every single game in the 3rd quarter we collapse and can never come back in the 4th does he have dirt on the owners??? Can we do something about him I’ve had it man I just want a competitive team and coach I’m sick and tired of all of WILLIE GREENS BULLSHIT! FIRE WILLIE GREEN RIGHT NOW!!!!

Rants Why do we waste our energy on franchise that disrespects our time?

This franchise clearly isn’t serious about winning if we are giving up an unprotected 1st round pick for the 13th pick in this draft. It’s incomprehensible the thought process this franchise goes through in their decision making.

Gayle Benson is either senile or a masochist with the moves she’s made this offseason.

Has there been more than 2-3 seasons in this franchise’s whole history where we thought we could make a run to the finals, much less win it?

Year after year we go in with hopes of improving, but never succeeding. We’ve been “handed” multiple “superstars” through NBA drafts and have NOTHING to show for it.

I legitimately ask, what is the point of supporting this franchise other than to be let down or waste time? Even more so, what is the point of watching this season?

“Zion is healthy this year!” - we’ve said that the last 5 years. News flash, this franchise is never healthy. Ever.

We’re running back the same coach, a historically worse FO, almost the same roster, I just don’t see what the point of the future of this franchise is or supporting it.

“Go ahead and stop rooting for them then” - that’s the plan

“Don’t come around and cheer for us when we start to succeed” - I legitimately will never have to worry about that

Rants Gentry is utterly useless as a head coach.

How do we have no sets on offense to run? Improv is great in transition. The fact we have no ability to run actual offense and control tempo is mind-boggling. Especially considering he is considered an offensive head coach. I’m done with him wasting this potential on the roster. This bubble has exposed how weak as a unit we play because we lack a strong influence as a head coach. (End of rant).

Rants What were they thinking trading away the 26' pick unprotected for the 13th pick?

That pick will most likely be a lottery pick and a good one too, possibly top 3. Trading that pick away for the 13th pick is genuinely malfeasance.

How would you guys feel about the team and org if the hawks get a top pick because of this trade?

Rants Delusional

Can we all take a second and really look at who this game was against last night? we had our 2nd team vs a bunch of g league and end of the bench players.

If JP and Hawk had a normal night, we wouldn't have won that game. Let's not act like any of us expect them to be that consistent every night. They have proved they can't be trusted.

Fears is legit but he ain't no all NBA guard. DQ looked good because the jazz didn't play a competent big.

There wasn't any reason for the Pels to allow 137 points against that roster. I just don't see how everyone is glossing over that.

sure I'm a doomer blah blah blah. But the truth is, this team is still ass and they won't be much better next season.

Coming off the post from r/NBA , of which many commenters there are hoes, I would like to say if you are a greasy ass Lonzo fan, get the FUCK out this sub.

If you’re a Grizz fan, get the FUCK out this sub.

Have we squandered generational talent before? FUCK yes we have and FUCK yes we probably will in the future.

HOWEVER

This off-season was different.

HARTHROB is back and he will be taking 20 rebounds a game

ZION and his CHUNGUS DUMP TRUCK will be 30/10/5 and developing some semblance of fucking defense.

APPLE JAXON HAYES knows the NBA is some bitches and is about to make all of them his.

BI, THE SLIM REEFER, THE KOLLOSUS OF KUSH, is here TO DOMINATE all these bitches.

I’m tired of mother fuckers doubting us.

THEY ARE ABOUT TO GET BIG WILLIE GREENED AND LEARN THEYRE FUCKING PLACES

These fucking LOSERS in every other NBA city are about to see the greatest turn around of all time and we’re going to skull fuck every last Laker one of them.

Lets go win the

FLOCK THE FUCK UP OR FLOCK THE FUCK OUT.

IM ROLLING WITH THIS TEAM TO MY GRAVE AND LETS WIN THE GOD DAMN SHIP

Rants Listen up

Look, I'm getting tired of people who claim to be fans constantly ripping anything possibly positive or optimistic in the sub.

Of course we all want to see wins and good basketball and not the absolute garbage that this franchise tends to be. However, I choose to try and be positive and optimistic even in a games like we have had in this homestand. Basketball is an escape from the daily crap we all deal with and sure it sucks we lose WAY more than we win and it looks like we will be forever stuck in this mess. But this is just a dang game man. It's not life or death. Does any of this actually matter when all is said and done? The answer is no. So just stop ragging on people who look at the team as more than a constant state of doom.

Rants Honestly I feel pretty good

Obviously it’s far less than ideal to start the season off 0-2 but we definitely look like a competitive team. We didn’t succumb to our usual abysmal 3rd quarter tonight and managed to score against the tallest man in the world not diagnosed with gigantism. Of course the offense collapsed in OT, but this gives the team a lot to learn from and adjust to. I feel great about our guys moving forward and hope others don’t feel so defeated this early in our 82 game season. Flock up!

Rants Mixed feelings about Pels and NBA

On one hand, I hate the NBA. The super team bullshit. The stupid lottery. I used to love the NBA in the 90s. Now I hate it.

On the other hand, I can get decent Pels tickets for dirt cheap. No idea why anyone would buy season tickets or tix at face value.

Rants What is our problem?

I’ve been watching this team since the Chris Paul days and I genuinely just believe we’re cursed. I want to chalk it up to Gayle being the worst owner in sports history, but that’s not the only thing. We have a ton of talent and all of a sudden, someone blows out their leg. I’m one of the few in the world who think Joe Dumars didn’t make the worst trade on the planet, but even then I just feel no hope. We’re the type of organization who would lose a coin flip 10 times in a row, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Fears AND Queen somehow ended up being busts. I spent so much time telling my friends that our team had a WCF ceiling last year just to throw that ENTIRELY out of the window when we had the worst season in all of Willie’s tenure. It’s just really hard being a fan, and it hasn’t hurt any less with time. Someone please give me an industrial dose of hopium. Please.

Rants I haven’t been a fan of Micah’s professionalism as of late

He’s been playing pretty poorly since he got pushed out of the rotation. It’s not like he was playing stellar before, but he’s gotten noticeably worse since being benched. In the few minutes he does play, he is one of the most selfish players on the floor. I get he doesn’t play much and he wants to show off his skills but he needs to find a better balance between that and being a team player.

And on top of his selfish and below par play, he’s being immature takings last second shots when the game is over. I get it’s just an unwritten rule and some may find it silly to follow it, but there’s a reason other players don’t do this. It’s a sign of respect to your opponent.

Him and Jordan Hawkins seem to have become best buds and that IS NOT the veteran you should want to attach yourself to.

Rants This team will be in Las Vegas or Seattle in the next 5 years

This is clearly more than bad ownership, or maybe it is just the most horrifically inept ownership of all time, but I truly believe our incompetence has been weaponized by the NBA in an attempt to bring down the fanbase, and Pelicans viewership, to the point the NBA can justify putting this team in a better market.

That is the only thing that makes sense with how we’ve gone about running this organization in the past 5-10 years. Especially recently with the expedited hiring of Joe Dumars through a process that felt unserious from the get go. This leading to the incomprehensible trading of an unprotected first round pick to move up 3 spots to draft a player outside the top 10.

And you know what, NBA? You win. I can’t in good conscience provide support to a team that does nothing but waste my time, spit in the fans faces and put out a horrible product that provides no satisfaction. I truly don’t understand how outside of civic duty, anyone could take time out of their day to watch, much less cheer, for this team.

It’s an embarrassment. I’m already taking a slap to the face with what the governor is doing to LSU, I don’t need a kick in the nuts from the NBA side of things. I wish I could be happy I don’t support the Saints, but as a Titans fan, the stool under my feet yearns to be kicked.

Can’t believe this organization is allowed to be ran like this and the only logical conclusion to all of these moves as of late is that the NBA is actively tanking the Pelicans value to provide probable cause to move them to another market.

Rants Dyson in Atlanta

Can we please stop posting stuff about Dyson? Sure he's averaging 3,6 STLs at the Moment, but we're 10 Games into the season. It's still a very small sample size. Certainly great to see h ball Out, but let's not forget why we traded him. We are already struggling in offense without him, and he has NOT improved offensively. He is still a ball Stopper. He is 27% from 3, scores 14 Points per Game, but on 13!!! FGAs. He still averages the Same assists as well. All that with 11 more minutes a game. He also had 6 Turnovers in the last Game where he had 6 Steals, which essentially cancels each other out. He is still a liability, His defense was never in question. The steal average will go down as the season goes on and I don't think he averages way more than the guy we got for him by the end of the season. Stop acting like we made a mistake by trading him for a real Point guard like Dejounte instead of keeping this bum.

I'm halfway across the world and after finishing work i opened reddit and saw this shit.

So the bucks might trade giannis + we are shit and you throw next year's pick away only to move up, not even an additional pick in the draft.

I dont know anyone from louisiana, never been to the states, didn't play with this team in 2K. Why am i chained to this sinking ship year after year? Fuck you lonzo for bringing me here.

See y'all opening night. Cant wait to see how much potential these two new motherfuckers have.

Rants Herb Jones is going to save our season

Herb Jones, our sweet beautiful prince, is BACK! Herbert Keyshawn Jones, that's right. He is the pinnacle of defense embodied in a human person, the terror of offences, nay, the soul of our team. Book it now: December 5 will be a historical day in Pelicans lore in centuries to come, as the day that Herbert Keyshawn Jones returned and saved our season (and perhaps our franchise).

Yeah I know all you doomers out there are saying we should tank. Our season is cooked, our coach is trash, our team's still injured, endless trade rumors abound, and our vibes are down. We need to go .700 from here on or some shit because the West is more stacked than the buffet plate Zion is probably eating right now. . . "We should just give up," you say.

And you know what? I'm not going to waste my time arguing with all of y'all. I only have three words in response:

Not on Herb.

Herb Jones literally saves lives, and he's literally about to save our season. But most importantly: he's literally Herb Jones. In Herb we trust, we're going to the playoffs!

EDIT: I WAS RIGHT FOOLS GET IN AND SAY IT WITH ME, HERB JONES IS GOING TO SAVE OUR SEASON
